Pet birds. Like, lots of them. Birds are nice.
Prince Oliver (he/him)
“He was the heir to the Kingdom of Broning, but only rumors shaped his person. Little was known of his voice and appearance. The lights in his room were permanently shut off, and not a single noise could be heard from the closest corridor.”
“You should leave now, unless you want it to find you. And once it does... there is no going back.”
Diana (she/her)
“Stripped from her royal title as a newborn, Diana was the first daughter of the King and of his favorite Concubine, said to be a lost jewel from the long-extint Pridia Dynasty. Though no matter how much people attempted to describe her beauty, they’d always forget one vital detail; how her eyes were cold and aggressive, like nobody else's.”
“You shall beat me at my own game, or burn by my hand. Though I’d say the choice is not up to you.”
Princess Catherine (she/her)
“The sweet dove, and the Queen's only daughter. Her looks paled in comparison to her half-sister’s, and her strength too was overshadowed by her. However, word of mouth about Catherine was always paired with utmost respect. As a child, she found deep passion in the arts of strategy and diplomacy, earning a position of power among the higher ranks.”
“There is a lot about this family that the Kingdom does not know about. Things we'd only reveal to you.”
+ secret route with a surprise RO (he/him) [more secret/side ROs may be added in the future]

Hey! Admin and developer of the game here :) I believe this doesn’t truly count as an update, but I’ve finished drafting the story and have now started writing the prologue, so that’s that.
The three love interest’s personalities have already been determined, and I’m excited to get to write them the way I’ve designed them to be. They are quite different from each other, I can tell you that now. You won’t get bored with them.
I’ll work on giving them exchangeable pronouns instead of set pronouns once I get further into the story and learn more about how twine works. I’m fairly new to it, but so far it's been going smoothly.
MC’s personality is a work in progress. I’ve implemented the four personalities technique (four options of behavior to choose from instead of having one set personality) and I’ve loved it. It does take a lot longer to write for different types of MCs, though, but I’m sure it will all be worth it afterwards!
So far, the prologue draft includes:
An audience with the Queen — it'll be intense, so get ready. (introduction of the ROs)
MC thrown in the middle of action
Definition of some character traits (eg; Background, main ability, etc.)
Opportunities to behave like a regal visitor or a total brat (will determine MCs personality)
The misunderstanding that starts it all
From rags to riches (by accident)
I’ll try to finish the prologue draft for the next update! No guarantees though, since I’ve been quite busy lately, but hopefully I have more time to spend writing the following month.
Thanks for reading! Feel free to let me know which aspect of the game you are the most excited about. Or recommend any interactive fictions for me to read, if you know any!
