Thank you everyone who has been sending birthday wishes today! I truly appreciate them. 💜

It's been a really nice, relaxing day. Mr. Apocalypse and I just got back from dinner out, and I'm looking forward to a (mostly) chill evening and some deep dungeoning.

I have only posted about it once or twice and so imagine not everyone saw it (I certainly don't backlog my whole dash regularly these days), but back in December my mother died from acute illness worsened (though not directly caused) by long-term effects of chronic illness. Life since then has felt... very strange, and I have been in what I suppose is probably a pretty normal state under the circumstances: re-evaluating what is important to me and where I want to spend my limited energy (my chronic illness is not the same as my mothers nor does it have the same long-term risks but it is still a thing), contemplating mortality and existence, you know, that sort of thing.

With my sporadic presence here I know I've missed a bunch of mutuals' birthdays in recent months, and I am sorry for that and just want to say I definitely didn't intentionally skip over anyone, I just got pretty overwhelmed by life for a while.

I do not have much of a conclusion to this, just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words and warm wishes and I appreciate the many good people I've met here, whether we know each other well or would like to know each other better or just wave at one another in passing. Thanks for sharing your passions and your creativity, and thanks for sharing in mine.
