Things I've learned over this past year of my life:

It's okay to disagree with people.

It's okay to not want to do anything at all some days.

Trauma is hard. Recovery is hard. Feeling better is hard. Loving others despite that is easy.

I don't have to define myself the way others define me.

It's okay to feel anger.

It's okay to feel cheated.

It's okay to feel sad some days.

Therapy is hard, but worth it.

Things I need to work on in this next year:

Love yourself even when others don't show it.

It's okay to disagree with someone.

Your faith doesn't define you, the same way it doesn't define others.

Let go.

Stop relying on others to stay happy.

Enjoy what you used to enjoy, and what you long to enjoy again.

Not everything you do has to have monetary value.

It's okay to be proud of something you've done, even if no one else shows you.

I'm ready for recovery. I'm ready to feel happy again. It's time to move forward.

Spending my 30th birthday at home with my favorite people and my sweet furry child, along with a furry niece and two furry nephews. I had a lot of apprehensions about turning 30 and now that it’s here I’ve been reflecting on my personal growth, especially over the last decade. I’ve loved and lost. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve learned. I’ve travelled. I’ve studied. So much has happen that has not only helped to shape me into who I am today but has taught me some wonderful things about life. Life is certainly what you make it. I’m chasing my dreams and refusing to ever give up. I know I’m loved.m by some of the most amazing people I have ever known. Most importantly I know myself. My birthday is Monday and even though I don’t have any big plans, I’m super blessed and excited to get another year on this amazing, beautiful Earth with all of you my beauties... . What have I learned in my soon to be 34 years?? Take responsibility for your HAPPINESS Laugh, love and learn to almost make yourself vomit from voyaging outside your comfort zone...
