I’m loving this cat mom life. My sweet girl makes me smile all the time. I’m working on setting up more things in my new place. I’ve been so grateful to those who have been there for me through the past few months. They’ve been worth the challenges and the difficulties. They‘ve been worth it all. I’m finding my way back to myself and getting it all figured out. I think I’ll soon be back to writing too. I’m also going to finally finish my BA this year. I turn 35 in 10 days. I’ve started changes. There’s been so much change already, some of which required me to make some difficult decisions. I have done a lot of what I’ve had to do in order to do what’s best for me. In a lot of things it’s all I will say but to those who have stood at my side through it all, know that I love you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there through it all. Twenty years ago today, this album was released to the world. It is definitely one that made a HUGE impact on me. It helped me through a lot. It had a massive influence on my taste in music as it helped me discover so many other bands. Fallen and Evanescence was just the beginning of so munch more music that has really taken over and impacted my life as well as inspired me with my art and writing. Music has also been there for me big time as I’ve gone through things. It’s saved me in ways nothing else has because it’s helped me feel what I couldn’t explain with my own words. I owe a lot to this album for being the beginning of the music that’s helped hold me together through my best and worst times, inspire me, and so much more. It deserves this recognition. Today we celebrated 80 years of this one, my Granny’s life ahead of her upcoming birthday on Monday. It was a surprise party and she was indeed surprised. My life has gone through A LOT of changes in the past three months. It is going through more changes still. I’m not going into major details. It’s not always meant to be shared with the world. I’m rebooting and changing in ways I believe are for the better. Here is all that the world needs to know and I am willing to share because it’s not fair to other parties involved to share with the world what is private matters and should remain such. For reasons that will remain private The Passion of the Dragon Saga will not continue. I give my greatest apologies to all who were hoping to see what happens between Vlad, Erzsébet, and Erdenia. Visited this man for Christmas today. Our second Christmas without MawMaw. It’s not easy to miss the greatest woman we have ever known. I took him breakfast, mounds bars, and his favorite gatorades. I got some good hugs and spent time with him. It was entirely too cold for us to go feed his animals together. Loving this man is important. “I’ve crossed oceans of time to find you.” Happy 30th Anniversary to one of my all time favorite movies, the Francis Ford Coppola directed Bram Stoker’s Dracula starring Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Sir Anthony Hopkins, and Keanu Reeves in the leading roles. Gary Oldman is one of the most superb actors to fill the role of Dracula I have ever seen. His portrayal is legendary. The rest of the entire cast, leading and supporting, give some of the best performances I’ve ever seen. The film truly captures to film Stoker’s book using old school visual effects techniques which are part of what make it an even better masterpiece. Anyone who appreciates classics, horror, supernatural, and even good storytelling that hasn’t seen this movie really needs to watch it. Those of us that have know what I’m saying when I talk about how good this movie is. There’s a beauty to it that’s just unexplainable. Happy 30th Anniversary to you! A little over a month ago on 1/26, one of my favorite people, my Paw turned 80. He’s the only grandfather I have left in this world. I’m halfway between the 1st anniversaries of the losses of Papa and Papa Joe still only months from my precious Paw having lost his other half, my Mawmaw. All of my grandparents have lost their spouses and it all happened in 2021, two to COVID and one to cancer. My sweet and silly Paw now is 80 years old, 8 decades in this world. He spent 60 years, 6 decades married to the love of his life. He never had much but he’s always had love in his heart to give and some good stories to share. He’s always been to me the man that will do almost anything for an Oatmeal Crème Pie (diabetics have their weakness). He taught me a lot about appreciating the little things in life. He’s the eldest of 14, father of 4, grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 9 more great-grandchildren - granted he and my Mawmaw have “adopted” all of our friends and their kids too into their family. If you get hungry around him and he has food to share, he shares. He takes care of the world and he will have you laughing so hard before the day ends you forgot you were ever sad. Life has given me some of the best moments with Paw, the man who snores loud enough to wake the neighbors and can never remember everyone’s name. He will always bring you a smile. All these ten year challenges happened so here is me from October 2011. Now would I love to take photos like this again? Hell yes! Do I want to look like this again? No! This is the 2nd heaviest I was in my life. I was in one of the most unhealthy times mentally and physically. I’m dealing with a very rough time these days. It’s why I’ve barely posted anything. I’m back in therapy and trying hard. I hope to have more updates again starting soon. I have suffered a breakdown due to not dealing with a lot of past pain, a toxic former day job, and the death of several close family members in a short period of time. Honestly a person can only take so much. I just know that one day I will find me again. There’s a lot that happened, a lot to process. It’s taught me to value so much in life. I had gotten so much better with this day. I had gotten better not wallowing in grief. 2021 has just been a devastating year for me. I’ve lost half my grandparents this year and it isn’t even over. I’ve lost way too much to be ok with remembering the fact you’re gone too, Daddy, especially when it’s only been a month since Mawmaw, your mom, left this world. This year marks thirteen years since you unexpectedly left us. You weren’t perfect but you did love me. Today all I can think of is the massive amount of grief I’m feeling for all of my losses this year. Mawmaw, my hero in life, only gone a month to COVID and was starting to suffer from Alzheimer’s. Papa, lost in February, exactly a month before my birthday to COVID, who had been my rock in the worst of my childhood and a constant in my life when no one else was. He was my symbol of stability. Papa Joe in early March to cancer just 16 days after Papa, who only wanted everyone to laugh and had the best sense of humor ever. I’ve lost others but this is the most significant. This hard year makes me truly understand what @tommykarevikofficial means not only with these lyrics but with his dedication when he starts the song. I relate more than ever now. My heart aches so much right now. I don’t know how to find the light in all this darkness. Brutal honesty from someone suffering from a hellish year and has re-entered therapy to recover. I will find a way out.
