Also... How do you view johns orientation? <3

I read John as bisexual and biromantic, with a tendency to form hetero-relationships (in part due to the social ease of presenting as hetero and dating women, and the lack of risk of having to come out publicly). I know many in the fandom read John as homoromantic, since he seems unable to form lasting relationships with women prior to Mary, but I like to give John the benefit of the doubt and believe that he was actually in love with Mary. I say was, because I don’t know if he still loves her after she shot Sherlock (I don’t buy his prepared words as honest forgiveness). I think he had real feelings for Mary, but I do believe that Sherlock is his true love, and so his heart will always choose him. I think you can love many people, but I also think that when push comes to shove, his love for Sherlock is unparalleled. I think John also loved Sholto, and maybe even Sarah, but when he was dating her, Sherlock always took precedent (see: true love). 

As to the bisexual part:

No one will ever convince me that John wasn’t trying to pull Sherlock that night. And I believe in Jolto too. And that deleted scene from THoB where John uses basically the same low-risk pick up tactic on Corporal Lyons that he does on Anthea in ASiP. John is an equal-opportunity flirt, and that’s part of why I relate to his orientation (^_~) Minus the closeted bit, of course!

Sherlock is not the first man John fell for and that is why he is so scared of this, cuz he was sure these guys were mistakes, rebounds and he cured himself of it but then he met Sherlock who was so different than any other guy John liked before but he still can’t stop his feelings and it’s so confusing cuz he knows he is not gay and he was taught to think that real men can’t be attracted to people the same sex and he refuses to accept his bisexuality.
