His strides eat up the space between them as he loses all reason. All sense of propriety. Forgetting that the battle with Elgar’nan rages outside as his fingers wrap around the smaller man's arms. Thinking of nothing save the scent of elfroot and sandalwood as his lips press to Solas’ through the fabric of his mask. Maker how he's missed him. Craved him. Thought of this moment and little else every night for far too long. And he won't let anything come between them again as a ragged breath escapes him and he presses his forehead to his love's.

When he first opened his eyes all he saw was red. Bright and crystalline. There was a strange creature cursing and rustling through her book directly in front of him. It was odd that she hadn’t noticed him yet, he was sure he had let out a noise as he collapsed forward. Speaking of it, he felt much smaller than he had before. As he looked down, he let out a sob as he saw the weak limbs of those little scampering creatures that usually wore that odd shiny coating. The creatures usually shout at him angrily, or fearfully as he soared above. He never attacked unless provoked, what could they possibly be angry at him for? What happened to him? Had they done this to him as punishment?

I thought the story behind not making Solas bi was the same as why Cullen wasn't bi - they ran out of time to animate and add those things into the game?

No, with Solas it was different. Weekes originally played with idea of Solas being bisexual (or pansexual), hence the leftover dialogue; but he ultimately decided he didn’t want to use the “bisexual villain” and “pansexual god” tropes. 

Which fair on the bisexual villain, but also imagine gay elven men actually having an elven option Shocking, that. especially with how Solas and Cullen both had their straight romances take priority, as added romances with an already pretty imbalanced sexuality gap. it’s all kinds of THIS with Solas too, like on one hand glad the main antagonist wasn’t a character of color, but on the other Concept Black Solas with dreads and as a God of Freedom/Rebellion would have been so refreshing and had great commentary beyond the “Evil PoC” trope. So honestly, it is what it is.

Just yeah, Solas’ bisexuality was abandoned earlier on than Cullen’s and that’s why someone was able to guy romance Cullen with a single flag glitch, but no one’s game has ever bugged a Solas guy romance.
