is this about a certain alignment meme i saw on my dash earlier bc i agree 100% and those kind of posts have never failed to make me cringe

yeah, it is, haha. not even subtely. I’m not a hypocrite, I’m super picky when I read fanfiction too, but if the only ‘good’ and ‘accepted’ fanfiction was 200k with lots of plots or fluff of popular pairings, fandom would 1) be incredibly boring and 2) would have died off a long time ago because no one would participate anymore.

and i’ll still write my badly written 800-words fluff about an unpopular pairing, maybe even ciswapped if I want to, only I’ll probably keep it to myself, eh.

omg if it's weird I'll be weird with you, I love it when my giant younger sister flops on top of me while we're watching TV, it's so comfy and therapeutic (even if it often does dissolve into tickle fights)

Not weird! Pretty sure that falls under the definition of "deep pressure" or "deep touch pressure" and it is actually very therapeutic!

for the associations meme: very aesthetic coffee, but also cacti/succulents, Very Tired Gentle Boys e.g. adam parrish and remus lupin and feuilly, chilly autumn mornings, comfy sweaters, cute vintage clothes, and that thing where people's eyes and noses crinkle up when they smile or laugh!

ahhh this makes me so happy, you have no idea. like, everything about this so THANK YOU.

as a fic writer i obviously super appreciate fic readers but fic readers can be, dare i say it, entitled little jerks

honestly, when I see these posts about what I should be writing and what I shouldn’t be allowed to write - and I’m not talking about basic decency, I’m talking about interests or tastes - and then I look at the tiny amount of hits/comments/reblogs my writing gets... yeah, I think I’ll keep writing my short, mediocre, niche stuff that pleases me.

oh dear.

so, there are a bunch of kids, right? they…. have mecha flight suits? they… fight bad guys? in space? have a sort of found-family-but-a-little-messed-up thing going on? they… defend things. and are… legends. maybe?

uh, the main character is a sort of anime-like teenager hero with a japanese name? Shiro I think? he probably has a Rival within the group that he’s shipped with, but he’ll end up with a girl colour-coded-in-pink probably in canon? all the outfits are highly improbable?

I might be mixing up different bits and pieces of stuff, maybe not even related to that fandom. I know absolutely nothing about this, ahah.
