Cleaning the motel sign was the most tedious task in maintaining the motel. It didn't help that the ladder was that rusty old thing he kept in the fruit cellar.
Steadying the occasional sway of the nearly broken piece of junk, Norman diligently wiped off the dirt and grime that collected around the neon bulb. The sun beating down on him didn't help at all, not to mention a customer just came in.
"Sorry! Uh...C-Could you wait for a second?" he shouted down at the speck of a customer.
