immm sooooo fucking normal thinking about shadowheart having to say goodbye to lae'zel at the end of the game when she takes Orpheus' place to fight in the resistance against vlaakith. because i feel like for lae'zel it's a no brainer. she needs to be there for her people, she can fill those shoes to fix the wrongs. but shadowheart would feel such a bitter pain, she just lost everything. her parents, her past, her goddess, she is a completely different person than she was when she first started (not that lae'zel wasn't, but shads CHANGED CHANGED.) and having to deal with the fact that she has to say goodbye to who she opened her heart so full for. im so normal at both of them whom have just learned to love and be vulnerable with each other and having to say goodbye all too soon. and yes I Know that you can go with her if you want which is a pretty cool ending, BUT there's something about shads making a new life for herself in her nice little cottage and raising animals and then one day when vlaakith is defeated, lae'zel comes back from the astral plane to see how much shads has grown and vice versa...!! it's about the LONGING and the LOVE THEY'VE SHOWN EACH OTHER and they see the world with colors for the first time EVER and to come back to each other's embrace at the end of it all to tell them all about it.
