Com2uS, who owns the IP rights, announced that the Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint anime adaptation has been slated for release in 2027, and a little more information was made available about the upcoming video game, including a new art piece for it.

On March 31, 2025, Com2uS announced that it “Signed a global publishing contract for a game based on the "Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” IP", and made an investment in South Korean game developer Offbeat to develop it. (Source in Korean). Offbeat shared the new visual on their website, seemingly with the title, Traces Left Behind.

The anime was officially announced on July 6th, 2024. The announcement from Com2uS during their Q1 2026 earnings conference says the anime is coming in 2027 from a "famous" but unnamed Japanese company, and that the game is an action RPG also slated for 2027, for mobile and PC.
