If Tim Burton wants another iconic 70s song in BJ3 he has a lot to choose from, but, I think "Waterloo" by ABBA would fit 😆
Which one(s) would you suggest? 😁

funny af to me that WB shortchanged Tim for BJ2 and is now begging him for BJ3 while he's like idk 💅 we'll see
For the record, we don't need BJ3 and y'all are all greedy, ungrateful, and bad at film analysis for thinking we do. If I was Tim, I would be deeply insulted and have a bone to pick with all y'all.
But it's still validating watching them kiss his ass for it. I hope he drags out negotiations for months before telling them "sorry, Winona said no" lmao
So let's pretend BJ3 is happening, what are your worst fears for it?
Eeek okay so any validation of the literal plot of BJ2 would be...terrible.
Because the literal plot is awful.
And by "awful" I don't mean poorly written, I mean tragic. It's sad. I don't want that life for Lydia. I much prefer the world in which they've been married this whole time and BJ2 is a horror-movie dream/nightmare gift from BJ to his creepy babe wife. That world makes sense to me. The literal interpretation is for normies who cannot conceive of the alternative.
And I fear BJ3 would be for normies. I fear Tim might sell out. BJ2 is an art film. It was not made for profit and yet profit it yielded. I fail to see how BJ3 could carry on that trend tastefully.
Do you think there will be another film?
Hard to say. If there is, I think it would be Astrid-centric with beetlebabes and Delia as supporting characters. It would be interesting to investigate the original mystery: Lydia's mother, Astrid's grandmother. Tim did say he wanted to explore three generations of Deetz women.
It's only fanon that she's dead. Musical doesn't count. There's three options; death, divorce, abandonment. I personally suspect abandonment following an affair and a messy divorce. I have a crack theory that Betelgeuse possibly knew or dealt with Lydia's mother in the past, before she was born, but that's just me being out there.
Y'all acting like BJ3 is real and happening when none of the OG's have said anything about it is very insane to me, especially in the wake of all the historically cancelled Beetlejuice projects. The only thing Tim has ever said about BJ3 is a tongue-in-cheek joke about never making it, which should have been enough to communicate to you people why this is a bad idea. Film studios are desperate for dollars because all of their darlings are smeared via association with Diddy. They have nothing. All they know is reboots and remakes and pandering. If this happens? Tim's hand is without question being forced.
Personally, I won't be giving this project my patronage because I am the type of person who puts my money where my mouth is. I respect artistic integrity and I don't think studios should be allowed to do this to artists (pressure them into projects they're not comfortable with/interfering with their IP).
So yeah no matter what, this is gonna be a pirate for me. But I still don't think it's real.
