Re-posted pic from one of the DoSH challenges: make an outfit out of paper (tape and glue is allowed). I decide to go with a yukata since it’s basically constructed of rectangles of various sizes. It didn’t go as I’d planned, though, as origami paper doesn’t have any drape. XD;; Paper towels would have given a more fabric-like result...
Anyway, when I was done, I was surprised at how good Laurie looks in this colour combination! (probably partially a result of her resin yellowing over the years...) She’s always been a pink and red girl in my book, but I need to make her some green things now as well.
Not really a classic doll photography, but this is literally the first time I took Jay and Lillith outside. To get sealt. After months of winter it was finally warm enough and I found the courage to actually take this wild step.
I know it actually is not that much of big thing but I can only hope not to ruin anything 😅
So, I took pictures for this challenge, but since I don’t have my PC right now and thus no photoshop, I could only download a stupid app that wouldn’t even let me edit the text. A shame really because I think it would be fun to figure out what to write up for them.

What are the names and sculpts of the dolls you have at home?
Shiki = Dream of Doll Homme Kirill
Dillinger = Dream of Doll Limited Tender Elf Sha
Otis = Dream of Doll Pisces
Miyu = Dream of Doll Tender Pisces
Shuseki = Dream of Doll Homme Ducan
Kai = Dream of Doll Limited M.Kaillar (I just realizes his name looks like a short for Kaillar. That was completely unintentional. OTL )
How do you choose names for your dolls?
I need something that fits. I don't really look out for specific names, or origins, because the most important is if they fit. All my dolls, I had planned their names in advance, but when they arrive, they don't 'match' their name. I don't really know how I choose their names, but I do try looking for diveristy, and a name that stands out from the others. (I am currently stuggling with choosing a name for Kai, though. :< )
What’s the first thing that draws you to a head sculpt?
Mainly the eye shapes and the lips. Most of the time, I want my dolls to have very proportionate faces, I am not a super big fan of exaggerated features but if there is something I find endearing about their face, I don't mind OTL
What are your doll plans for this year?
It's sad I have very little doll plans this year. I am hoping for a Minifee Mirwen boy to flesh out Lazul. Fleshing him out is actually quite vital currently since he is to become one of the main focus points in my stories.
How do you look at your dolls? Are they just dolls to you or do you treat them as something more than that?
They are dolls. Works or art, nothing more, nothing less. I wish they were more than just that, but realistic terms, they are dolls. (Don't get me wrong, I treasure my dolls alot D: )
Do you normally order dolls with face-ups or without face-ups?
I used to like ordering dolls face-upless since I liked the personal feel of putting on my own face ups, but after my Kaillar, I am having second thoughts. I might just be converted to a factory-face-up-wanter.
Do you think your characters resemble you (personality, quirks or appearance)? Which ones and how so?
.Personality wise, I think each doll has a little bit me in them. Even if I am unconscious of it, I do put a little part of myself into them when I make their character. LIke, for example, Shiki is the internal battler, Dillinger shares a part of my phobia of speaking, worrying of saying something wrong.
Otis has that fear of embarrassment, and Miyu is the optimism in me. (These two were meant to be polar opposites but some where along the line I think they are becoming more alike. *le sigh*)
Shuseki temperment is alot like mine along with the masks he wears.
I don't know what Kai has that resembles me, but I'm sure it's there some where. I put alot of my negativity in them, but I think the important part is that their own positive traits are very much their own.
When you’re not playing with your dolls, are they naked or clothed?
PFFFF, CLOTHED OF COURSE (What am I, an unpaid-stripper home keeper? *SHOT TO OBLIVION*). But when I am done with them, they are put in simple, light clothes outfits, since I don't want to risk their other outfits staining them.
Do you keep your doll boxes?
I do keep their boxes actually, but recently I have been prepared on tossing them out since I have other means on transporting my dolls. I kept their boxes cause I was always worried about moving and how I'd move my dolls without damaging their face up or anything.
I am not going to toss out every box, I still am going to use them for storage, but I don't NEED to keep all of them any more. Oh well, time for some spring cleaning~!
