So Bob Jones University listed the CEO position for their new entity, Bob Jones Education Group, Inc. Go check it out. Maybe you’re qualified.

No, this isn’t Pettit’s position. This is, like WutBJU reported ten days ago, an entirely new position for an entirely new entity.

But look carefully at what some of the tasks this CEO does:

Lead the entire BJU Education Group personally and through the leadership of the administrative management team for the Press, BJA Middle School, BJA High School.

Supervise the selection and qualification of students to BJA Middle School and BJA High School and maintain the standards determined by the Board.

Supervise the discipleship and discipline of students with the authority to impose appropriate penalties, including expulsion

Confer degrees at BJA High School Commencement.

That’s odd. Lead a publishing company and expel high schoolers? That’s a pretty broad skill set there. Would you want a CEO of a publishing arm overseeing your 8th-grade child’s educational success?
