screenshots group three — the attempted return of the sex tape, bedroom domesticity and flirting

mostly i just love Yai’s pouty face. but also it’s both hilarious and perfect that Yai doesn’t even want the sex tape back any more. in the after-glow he’s given up all pretense of not trusting Mangkorn, or for spending time with him for any other reason than he just wants to.

the return of the dragon & tiger cub logo. hilariously Yai didn’t even notice the tiger. i love that Mangkorn is embarrassed for like half a second and then is just, yeah i ship us, we’re cute!

i love the casual domesticity of this moment. a sign of things to come (fingers crossed)

flirty dragon and pouty cat/tiger cub. i know I said it before, but I love the warm softness of Mangkorn’s bedroom. not at all something i expected to see based on episode one.

flirt and ignore. i also like the red lanterns outside the window. and I forgot to mention it earlier, but Mangkorn switched up their colors! he dressed Yai in his red, and put himself in Yai’s black and white. (and even when Yai changes back into his own clothes later, his shirt is a little warmer than the pure blacks he’s been wearing — hints of greens and browns.)

this whole product placement bit with the seaweed was ridiculous. and yet! the genuine tension (sexual and emotional) of this almost kiss.

god i love the cinematography of this show. the way this is framed! and i appreciate that this moment of startlement wasn’t over the top. although mama, do you really make a habit of barging in on Mangkorn’s bedroom like this? he’s such a fuckboy, has she really never caught him in an awkward moment before? unless Yai is the first person he’s actually brought to his home. which is a possibility. although i’m probably overthinking it.

“Is You” is a strange little short Thai BL that I have greatly enjoyed and recommend you spend less than thirty minutes of your life watching. 

No, seriously, do it! It’s really cute and funny and the idea is original. Seriously. Go watch it! Enjoy these cute boys for half an hour of your life.

I don’t want to say more because, honestly, it’s half an hour long and you’ll figure it out very quickly. Just watch it, okay?

Big Dragon episode five my beloved, second set of screenshots

the morning after — waking up, breakfast, wound tending

re-watching this episode the same day as watching Choco Milk Shake episode four I’ve realized — Yai is a cat. a pouty, prickly cat desperately craving attention. he responds to flirtation just like Milk.

I have many more thought and feelings about this episode and half a post about them still sitting in my drafts, which I may or may not finish. we’ll see.

i love Mangkorn’s bedroom — the pink sheets and warm wood, the warm lighting for everything filmed in his house

Yai’s little smile as he reads that Mangkorn has chosen clothes for him to wear! and i didn’t capture it, but i loved Mangkorn’s quick once over and little smile when Yai comes down to the kitchen wearing them. i like all the little touches like these that show their dom/sub dynamic continuing even in daylight hours.

i just really like Yai’s face ok. and his look here of being pleased despite himself as he sees Mangkorn cooking breakfast for him.

ok, lots of wound tending shots. i just like it when they touch each other and stare into each other’s eyes.

i love it any time Yai stares up at Mangkorn. and also the way all these wider shots at the table are framed. so much space for evocative body language.

this shot makes it obvious how different Yai’s wound tending is, and how much less willing Mangkorn is to submit to it. Yai is trying, bless his heart, but he’s not even standing up to reach. again, i love how their dom/sub dynamic subtly permeates all their interactions. (not captured in images, the adorable little clucking sound Yai makes trying to convince Mangkorn to let him apply the ointment.)

Yai’s pleased little smile as he touches his injured cheekbone! the prickly cat is so happy to have Mangkorn’s attention — the tenderness of the wound tending of course, but i think even the passion of the punch that necessitated it.

I just love them so much, ok. And I took way too many screenshots and I didn’t even make it out of Mangkorn’s house.

Here is the first batch — fighting in the rain, fucking in the living room. Yes they’re blurry but 🤷🏻‍♀️

no commentary on these, other than — the intensity of their faces in that fight in the rain! the hotness of that sex scene! it was an accident, but I’m glad I caught their slight smiles in the screenshot where Yai is leaning over Mangkorn.
