Piles of bodies on top of bodies, satanic hobbies. Crucify this bitch in a hotel lobby. Burn the body of our children, black spirits in a dark village.
I don't understand why white people struggle with listening to black rap.
Maybe it's just me struggling with empathy but my sympathy doesn't get it either.
I've heard people say that the violent language puts them off but then those same people will listen listen to other genres were the same things are said but with different words.
I've heard for some that the lyrics about women put them off as well but again other artists that don't rap do the same just with different words and metaphors.
What does annoy the most is when people say they don't like rap but they do listen to Eminem. Do you mean the man with violence and misogyny baked into his fame? How is that different from black rap? He's a good rapper but there's evidently a lot more racism in you than you may be willing to admit.
People never want to admit to being racist but I believe everyone holds some amount of prejudice in themselves, I realised some years ago that I held racist views about pretty much everyone even against "my people(german/dutch)".
Pretending that part of you doesn't exist will not improve you as a person.
You gotta look that ugly part of you in the eyes and work on it, have I stopped holding all of my racist views? Sadly no, you can't ever fully remove prejudice and assumptions from a brain built on such things but I have made progress on changing my world view for the better.
Stagnation of the self is one of the few things I judge harshly in people.
I denounce any agent of entropy.

im gonna say it bcz i hate that my dash is full of people complaining and thinking they can have autonomy over people's preferences.
i do not like black rap.
that does not make me racist. its purely based on how the music sounds to my ear, and the relatability of it. I live in a country that's very safe and doesn't practice racism on black people. Yes, i could listen to it as a cultural and historical lesson, but are you gonna listen to Gi' mig Danmark tilbage by Natasja Saad, a protest song about Christiania and how Denmark has changed over the years. A song that protests against the government, immigration policy and the removal of the youth center in Nørrebro. Are you gonna listen to that for the cultural and historical essence of it? No you're not.
I don't need to listen to black rap music to understand what they're going through, i've watched plenty of movies and documentaries about the situation (made by black directors of course) and witness it every single day on social media. And this is what we're talking about when we say we like songs with deep meaning, is that its harder to see and relate to the deeper meaning in black rap music. We cant appreciate it the same way as someone who lives in America, someone who lives in the ghetto, someone who is black. The same way that you can't fully appreciate a song that's about the culture in my country. And that's ok.
On top of that, I DO listen to black artists, like XXXTENTACION, Lil Nas X, Rihanna, Doja Cat, WHOKILLEDXIX, and Nicki Minaj. I do also enjoy some good jazz and blues every once in a while (ESPECIALLY the classics, those are so good oml)
So no, I'm not racist just cuz i don't like black rap.
