A memorial painting of beautiful Cricket for @the-wardens-torch that I finished just before Christmas! She had a lot in common in life circumstances with my own cat Schnuffel, which makes this painting so much more special to me. ❤️ I really loved working on this and also love how beautiful the suggestions for the background colors turned out! Hi! My qpp has a wonderful black tortoiseshell (with white!) he adopted a couple of years ago. When I first heard about her, he mentioned her having heterochromia and sent a photo of her face later on down the line! She's got a green and an orange eye!

How common is this? Could it be related to her red and black pigment or just chance?

It's rather rare! Much rarer than one eye being blue. I don't think it's related to her being a tortie, i've found a green-yellow odd eyed cat who is a black tabby just the other day
