Hello I am new here!

I wanted to share a poem I wrote shortly after my first psych ward admission. I hope you like it.

A SEAT AT THE TRAUMA TABLE.

I hold the metallic cup to my face

And my reflection proceeds to spit on it

I apologise to the gathering for my clumsiness

We begin to eat dinner

I pass around a plate of my organs

It returns, empty

A moment to mourn another lost opportunity to devour myself

I lift my glass to quench my thirst

empty, I wipe the air from my lips

After a few more courses, I inform my guests that the night can end whenever they want

...and it never does.

Online this keyboard white supremacist started spouting that "white ethnostate" nonsense at me. Then he finished with the obligatory Hitler references and the Swastika. I told him that he's so stupid that he doesn't even know the history of his own racism actually affirms the primacy of we Afrikans whom he called "monkeys", and the ORIGINAL "swastika" sign was a symbol we originated, and was built upon our spiritual and physical selves. He went on a long tirade filled with expletives. Then I showed him this. The Foundation has a fund called the Close The Gap Fund which is set up just for black students who need help to finish college.
