Brew #336: Blacks Brewery Spruce Tip IPA
Abv: 5%
Served: From the fridge
Aroma: Pine, resin, slight orange
Pour: Clouded amber with with head reducing to half finger.
Taste: Musky woody spruce tip is right there, loads of dusky twigs and pine forest vibes. Faint malt underneath with a soft resinous mouth feel. Medium carbonation and aftertaste is all that spruce. Big fresh ipa hit, like a Rocky Mountain hike or a Ford Cortina pine tree air freshener. I love the woodiness in the wash, nice bit of dankness too. It has one job and it does it well.
Notes: 440ml can, Simcoe hops, malted barley, spruce tips.
