𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗧 ． based on this; they just finished another job together, and Min-ji is forced by their employer to make Jaxson say goodbye to his lover

"I'm sorry, Jax." Looking at him, knowing that she was the one who came down with the hammer, Min-ji couldn't help the small pang in her heart for all she'd put him through. For what The Company had put them both through. "It's safer this way, I promise.." Like an older sibling trying to reassure him, she pulled him in for a tight embrace, unsure of the effects of her comforting. She, too, recently had her hand forced and bid farewell to her own counterpart but while there were many things Min-ji was a talent at, in feelings, she was less so. Love, until recently, had been a foreign concept. And so, she could only imagine his loss.

Matt waited for the door to open, unsure if it would even be Eli. What if he had moved on? What if his new partner opened the door instead and he was faced with the very real idea of returning to life without his ex in it. But when he finally saw that familiar face staring at him as it swung open, he was stuck in silence. He didn’t know what to say, how could he even begin to explain what had happened? But he didn’t need to say anything, it turned out, as he felt Eli pulling him close for a firm embrace. 

“God, Eli...” His voice came out muffled as he buried his face in the other man’s shoulder. “I’m so sorry...”

There were bruises on his skin and blood dried against wounds. It wasn’t the worst he had ever been, but it was certainly quite a look for him as he stepped into his friend’s home. He could always trust Wes to help, but he also never wanted to take advantage. It was simply that this time, his wounds were too much to handle on his own and he couldn’t return home to Maja like this. 

“Thanks man...” Oscar winced as he lowered himself into the chair, letting out a breath while he waited. “I hope I didn’t interrupt anything important.”

Tristan was nervous. This was the first date he had been on for quite some time, and the thought of messing it up was at the forefront of his mind. He couldn’t even believe that he was there, the entire thing orchestrated by his sweet but nosy neighbour who he had a lot of time for. She, on the other hand, had a lot of time to think about his love life, having practically adopted him as her own grandson and thus caring about his happiness. It was kind of her, but now he was sat in a little cafe, awaiting the arrival of the handsome doctor they had seen when Doris had her fall, silently hoping that it went well.

Another day came, and while she was still sporting her black eye from her recent fight with another assassin, she wasn’t going to let that impact. People often had questions when she came to work with injuries, but she found it easy enough to sell them some lie about falling or walking into something or, hell, even sports. No one suspected that their friendly local florist was spending her spare time killing people for money. Her recent encounter had left her surprised, impressed even, but onward she moved.

That was, of course, until she stepped out onto the sidewalk to prepare the display for her morning and her eyes fell on a man across the street opening up the bakery. It was him. The very man she had just fought, a man who was also in her own line of work. Interesting...
