“Hey, we had a reservation for 6:00 pm.”

[Blair looks up from their seat at the counter and smiles at the pair.]

Hey you two! Follow me over this way.

[He sits up and picks up two laminated pieces of paper before leading them to a small table that’s been set up.]

Now, we don’t normally get people asking for reservations, but on the rare case we do, I actually have menus so you have the choice of getting actual food, rather than some pastries!

Sirens in One Piece

Were sirens ever introduced in the One Piece world? This isn’t really a theory but just some foggy brain work 

Sirens were creatures from Greek mythology which enticed sailors to their destruction with their irresistibly beautiful singing. Sirens are bird-like creatures who resemble women. 

Monet (Caesar Clown’s assistant, Punk Hazard) kind of looks like Siren.

Maybe in One Piece lore, Siren voices could be attributed to a kind of HAKI, haki of the voice type of thing, like charmspeak, the Voice (Dune), which entices the hearer to do whatever the speaker asks. 

SO I just had a vague image of Gol D. Roger wanting to travel to the isle of sirens, because he heard they had the most beautiful voices, and pulling an Odysseus by having himself tied to the mast (or maybe held down by something stronger cos Pirate King might destroy the ship) so he could listen to their songs. Of course, the rest of the Oro Jackson’s ears would be covered by some kind of wax. 

In some versions of the events, Odysseus, a renowned intellectual and Athena’s champion, learns from listening to the Sirens events from both past and future. Whether Odysseus knew this fact beforehand or he simply wanted to hear the creatures’ voices out of curiosity isn’t clear

Roger would definitely venture out to see Sirens just because he’s curious and seeks adventure, simply in tune with his character, as he hasn’t displayed any particular greed for knowledge/advantage like the Greek hero. 

On the other hand, Trafalgar Law, cerebral and scholarly, is interested in finding out the history of the clan of D and what it entails for the future. If he does encounter Sirens, silence playing yet another tool for survival/freedom for him is already a nice parallel to his past/Cora. If anyone can pull off a story about murderous women-birds, outwitting the enemy, and temptation, it’d be this guy:

I like to think that after Wano, the Heart Pirates go on their own adventure and figure this out on their own. The question is, how much is Law willing to pay for the price of knowledge?

His usual relaxed fit is switched for something more professional, black dress pants, a white button up, and a black bow tie. He still has his old kinda beaten up backpack on with different pins and such. He’s holding a piece of paper in his hands, his resume.]

[A voice calls, and a few seconds later Blair appears at the counter dusting flour of his hands, ignoring how some is on her face, glasses and cardigan, and smiles at the appearance of the teen who probably looks over dressed compared to the bakers casual outfit.]

[He turns on their heel to head into the living room where @gary-goldstein-law is sitting.]

Linda Monroe steps into the Bakery, holding the hand of a little boy. She smiles at the boy, kissing the top of his head as she ever-so gently pushes him to one of the tables.

You sit down, honey, I’ll get you your cupcakes, alright?

The smile immediately drops as she comes up to the counter, her heels clicking harshly against the floors.

My son wants some of your…. cupcakes.

She looks like she wants to add something awful to describe said cupcakes, but she holds herself back in the presence of River. River is currently coloring with a mini coloring book and crayons he had in his jacket pockets.

[Blair looks up and their usual greeting is left unsaid as her smile becomes a lot less sincere at the sight of Linda stepping up to the counter.]

You’re going to have to be more specific on what cupcakes because, as I’m sure you can see, we sell a few different types.

[He gestures to the glass display that holds a shelf of different cupcakes ranging from plain vanilla to tiramisu ones before lowering his voice with a glance at River sitting at the nearby table.]

And I must say I’m surprised to see you here, never did I think there was a day that you, Linda Monroe, would actually walk in here.

[The smile Blair gives is fake, borderline sarcastic before they speak again.]

I do love what you’ve done your nose by the way.

[Blair grabs their keys off the counter and pats down his pockets before grabbing their phone and heading to her apartment door quickly.]

Okay, how many red light cameras are there on the way to Gary’s?…
