#68 Blazefire - ShadowClan

Blazefire! He is another cat introduced in Tigerheart's Shadow, as part of the city cats Tigerheart and Dovewing call the Guardian cats. Blaze is young, probably about six moons old when first introduced, and by the time the cats return to the clans does not stick out to Violetpaw as being too big or old to be an apprentice. He is an exciteable young cat in the city who is excited by the idea of being a warrior. He doesn't totally understand everything about clan traditions and prejudices, and goes scavenging with Cinnamontail in the clan bordering twoleg place without knowing it would be frowned upon. He is friendly towards Tigerstar's kits and Berryheart in the broken code, but is mostly in the background during the arc.

In the Starless clan arc he is most important as a romantic interest for both Sunbeam who has a close friendship with him at first, and then Lightleap when Sunbeam encourages him to make sure her friend is okay. This is something that Blazefire regrets and he tries to let Sun down easy, claiming that he thought they were in love but that he and Lightleap couldn't help falling for each other, and that they have a lot in common. They become mates, and he and Lightleap have kits at the start of Elder's Quest.
