Hello. What do you think Aizen's fashion choices would be? To go to work, in casual clothes, at home, etc. I saw someone's headcanon about him wearing dresses. What are your thoughts in the matter?

Sorry for the delay - I haven't been in a headspace to answer asks for the past couple of months.

I sort of talked about my hc's on his fashion here. I think Aizen is someone who tries to blend in to the crowd, but the clothing items he wears are of great quality (I can easily see him agreeing to dieworkwear/Derek Guy's comments!). We can already see from how he dressed his own army and Orihime that he has particular styles and design choices he prefers.

In official art of him not wearing his Lieutenant/Captain/Hueco Mundo/Muken uniforms, he is dressed in "classic" menswear styles. (I haphazardly put this collage together on photoshop lol.)

Kubo had a convention in Italy back in 2017 where he sketched portraits of different characters in modern clothing, and this was his sketch for Aizen:

As for him wearing dresses, I don't see why not. I'm not interested in making commentary on other people's headcanons. That's the fun in it - anyone can imagine anything to their hearts content.

Ulquiorra and Starrk for ask game

Ulquiorra first:

1. Tough choice but I gotta go with looks.

8. That he absolutely knows what emotions are and always has. The idea that him being a nihilist means he doesn’t understand emotions is nutty to me. He knows, he just tries to deny them as a means to protect himself from being hurt by them. He isn’t even very good at it. He expresses frustration, anger, curiosity, regret, loneliness, and satisfaction all throughout his story. He is just a traumatized arrancar in need of therapy (see his origin story in Unmasked).

9. So many. Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want - The Smiths comes to mind.

1. The inaction. I understand it and I have sympathy, but it ultimately makes him less interesting to me.

I'm glad you enjoy my gushing, but you might not after this because I am about to unleash all of the reasons why I absolutely love this man into one ask!

Okay so my first impression of Aizen wasn't much. He is exactly my type in terms of looks and personality (Brunette, Brown eyes, glasses, soft spoken, shy, nerdy, gentle) I thought he was an absolute cutie and liked him a lot as a Captain.

Look at this beautiful face! I want to cover it in kisses! 😍 I loved how he immediately shot down Byakuya's bullshit and how he was polite yet firm. It's a nice mix.

But then...'he died' and I was soooo sad. I cried the first time I saw that scene and completely understood Momo when she snapped due to him dying. Girl, same! 😭

Once he came back and he was revealed to be the villian tho, I loved him even more! Okay tbh I hated what he did to Momo because she's baby and I love her too but it kinda makes sense from a writing standpoint.

Aizen knows she's only loyal to who he pretended to be, and it was only a matter of time before she turned against him should he take her with him as an ally. On the other hand she was so loyal that leaving her alive after this reveal was gonna drive her insane. So I think he might be thought it would be a mercy kill to get rid of her after the reveal. It's so twisted but it makes sense and oof the angst potential for it is awesome. Kubo why didn't you give us Aizen's pov damnit!!!

Anyway boy goes up to the shinigami chumps announces he's played them all like cheap kazoo bitches and leaves like a boss and that's when l knew he was going to be my favorite!

👏 GIVE👏HIM👏THE👏 THRONE 👏NOW! This man is a million times the king that crystal bish ever was!!! I wanted to see him win so fuckin bad.

While I'm one of the few peeps who loved the bount filler arc, I missed Aizen a lot. Once we got back to canon he was back and I was sooo happy!

The fake Karakura arc is a mess but just having Aizen back was enough for me to forgive it. Baby boy is back and I'm living! He is so smug and chill during the whole thing and almost killed the head captain which yessssss do ittttt!!! And then defeats everyone like it isn't even hard omg I was swooning so much. He's so freaking perfect!!!

I wanna run my hands through that hair, and pull it too 😏 That angry face does things to me!

I love his intelligence and how it was only a fuckin lucky plot contrivance that took him down. He's unstoppable, unyielding, he'll stop at nothing to dethrone the king and I just cried so loud when got sealed I think my fam thought I was dying (yes father I'm dying inside 😭)

Thankfully I got one last present before the arc ended and it a beautiful one

Sub bondage Aizen is my fave thing in the world and I probably developed 10 diffrent kinks from this alone! Look at him. He's bound yet looks so in control and the way his pretty hands strapped to the chair just 💖💖💖 I wanna sit on his lap, I wanna kiss him, I wanna bite him and have him whipering while bound it's just sooo 😍😍😍 Can't even describe how much I love this.

Also he totally sasses the judges and it was glorious! Yes babe, you tell em who's boss! Get rekt Central 46! I love this scene.

I'm not touching on the blood arc cuz I hate it and Aizen was done so dirty then, he should be the new soul king, and I'll go down saying that but he was hella hot just hypnotizing the bitch replacement villian and wrecking his plans. It's almost as if he knows nobody is gonna replace him as best villain. They just can't he's that goddamn good!

But all that thirsty joking aside, I love Aizen because he was right. He was absolutely right about everything. He was proven right by every canon arc, filler arc, ova and videogame that the Soul Society was a flawed, unfair, and useless organization that did more harm than good. Think about it, the poverty in Rukon that they never fixed, the absolute authority of the Central 46 which was the reason his initial plan went over everyone's head, the corrupt nobles families that get away with everything, the unethical nature of Squad 12 (started by Urahara mind you, who thought putting that disgusting Mayuri in charge was a good thing!), the horrid treatment of bounts, mod souls, fullbringers and Quincy which led to many villians swearing revenge on Soul Society, you look at all of this, at the fact that no one lifted a finger to fix this things except arguably Ichigo and then tell me Aizen wasn't right. That he wasn't right to want to take over and change all of this. He got proved right by the ending, that nothing was gonna change, that those who could try and change it had zero interest in doing so.

So if he wanted change he had to so it himself, and the only way to do so unopposed by the corrupt government, nobles and judicial system, was to tower over them as the king of all.

I love that about him, I love how he was right all along and quite honestly I would've loved to see him succeed in canon rather than having to write fic for that myself.

To summarize, Aizen is a gorgeous man, a genius, the only person that was willing to change the soul societies politics and deserved better than what he received. Hope you liked this lengthy answer, anon! It was fun to write.

10: Favourite captain

I don't really have one. Aizen was a captain... a good one I think (as far as he played captain) and by far the most interesting between them. I like Byakuya too; since he became the Captain Commander I have opened my eyes to Shunsui who I consider way better than Yama, I like how he thinks and handles stuff… there's something off putting about him tho that doesn't allow me to make him a fav even if I want to.

22: Something I love about Bleach

I recently shared an edit of real world photos with Menos Grande drawn in them, walking between the buildings… I think that captures an essential aesthetic of Bleach that I love and can't find anywhere else. The overlap of simple reality with fantasy/religions. I love the diversity and the realism in it. Ex: People bitch a lot about characters reacting in ways that aren't ideal/heroic or whatever, but that's the point, they react in natural and individual ways, like real persons would. Just like in reality, people just are the way they are and it's ok, don't have to be perfect. No one is. What is perfect anyway?

24: Character I’d like to see getting more development

The one that comes to mind now is Ishida Ryuuken. There's so much more that could be exploited with him and through him.

46: Shinigami, Vizard, Fullbringer, or Arrancar

I'd say quincy but someone *looking at U op that made the ask * left them out. So, as it is, I say Fullbringers. I know I don't seem much of a stan, but I like their type of power, their idea, what they bring to the story. (Another very close choice would be Arrancar, tbh I stood thinking a lot who to choose between the 2. If I were to choose to be one, if I can't be a quincy then I'd rather be a fullbringer - and that's how i decided)

To add to your pro Ichigo post, not only is it funny that the whole "Ichigo married Orihime to keep Yhwach away" falls apart with the fact that Yhwach 'returns' before the kids and not the so called "ichigoxrukia reunion" which is what they claim is Ichigo's/Rukia's "happiest moment" but they completely missed the whole message of Yhwach's defeat, i.e. stomping despair… Kubo literally threw in the volume sketches of the foot stomping on despair and leaving the "brave" footprint lmao. 1/2

What can I say? IRS prove time after time after time that they do NOT understand Bleach. Not even talking about pairings!! But despair and courage has ALWAYS been a message in Bleach, it’s not something Kubo pulled out at the last minute. But they can be delusional all they want, they hate Bleach for such a ridiculous reason and I’m glad I can’t relate LMAO

002 | HitsuRuki - Bleach

When I started shipping them: I read a good-ass HitsuRuki fic at some point because I needed more Hitsugaya fics and was kinda like - hm. I think I like this. Probably about 4 years ago now?

My thoughts: It’s a crackship, but they’re both intellectually-inclined and probably enjoy sitting in silence or playing board games. They’re also the type to chat about books, and they like listening to each other nerd out.

Also - they both have the same kind of temper, where they blow up and yell if they need to, and kick people in the shins. They’re short ice wielders that will kick your ass and laugh about it, and I love that.

What makes me happy about them: They’re a relationship that I picture growing naturally out of a strong friendship - a kind of ‘falling in love with your best friend’ sort of scenario. And that...makes me soft. (I get Killugon vibes too, so asjkdfhaksdjfsd)

What makes me sad about them: That they have so little canon interaction (I have this complaint with a LOT of Bleach characters, tbh)

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: TBH there’s not enough HitsuRuki floating around for me to be annoyed by a trope without calling out a specific person, and I’m not about going after folks who are minding their own business.

Things I look for in fanfic: Just good writing and an enthusiastic author! Like IchiHitsu, HitsuRuki is a tiny pairing, so it’s very much a take-what-you-can-get ship.

My wishlist: They become friends. Hitsugaya and Rukia training with each other and their Zanpakutou would be awesome.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: IchiRuki, IchiHitsu and RenRuki are cute. Honestly though - I’m a huge multishipper. If I like the characters enough, I can parse out a way their personalities would interact for a relationship.

My happily ever after for them: They have a winter-wonderland ever-after in which they both kick ass and use Rukia’s noble links to purge the corruption outta Seireitei.
