Also I find Bleckt to be such an obnoxious character and I get on some level he’s supposed to be. But man him just ruining these fights and adding constant anti-climax by switching things up at the last second was really annoying. In S4 there was sabotage and cheating, but in the end it was just another obstacle for our protagonists to overcome, not just something that rendered the whole thing kinda pointless. The sabotage took the wind out of these battles, especially Lloyd vs Nokt.

And on some level I think that’s the writers’ fault because they wasted all this time on hyping it up and even a bit of the fight just for Bleckt to step in and ruin it. At that rate just have Lloyd come to only to be told right off the bat he’s too weakened and has to forfeit. I guess it’s meant to be a character moment for Lloyd to show his perseverance at least?

But yeah, Bleckt rigging the tournament from the first fight places the whole thing in question. Realistically they should’ve redone the entire tournament, but that would also mean some of the challenges have their twists spoiled, plus we’re not here for another season. I’m still a Champion Sora truther either way!!!
