and this is the sort of framing of shows about mental health i loath....
Translation: “country happy pills?
Nour El Refrai asks why so many of us swedes eat anti - depressant mediciation”
because we have taxe funded health care and taxe funded (low) prizes for psychatric meds
which makes it possible to actually you know.
buy meds one need?
the question would rather be, i think:
“why do they eat too little anti - depressants in other countries”
ya know......
I made the mistake of going to bed WAY TOO LATE the past 2 nights and as you can guess, my body is not happy about that.
Me: I am so close to finishing this fic I can taste it
Also Me: *starts two new fics, works on a wip that's been in the works for over a year and contributes nothing, reads a fic that simultaneously makes me feel bad about my writing skills and gets me pumped to write, starts a third new fic, eats ice cream, looks at almost done fic and plays a video game instead* LOL binch did you mean you could taste the failure?
Today I'm sick :c I'm just going to take my chicken soup and go to bed =u=
your anon reminds me of this advice column I read where a woman wrote in to complain that men won't call her back when she is so hot, like smoking hot, like head-turning make other women jealous hot, so what's wrong with men that they don't want a second date? They had to gently suggest: uh, maybe it's your personality? Hotness is not just looks, its an attitude and who you are and how you treat people and maybe you need to work on yourself a little bit? Anyway --
women like that find someone like Brienne confusing and threatening because she suggests that conforming to a certain physical standard isn't necessarily all there is to attractiveness and if/when their looks should be stripped away they really wouldn't have much to offer. They never bothered to develop a personality other than Pretty, so it plays on their own weird insecurities.
^^^^ yeah I 100% agree and tbh it’s... telling because they’re behaving like c./that kinda person in a way that imvho is honestly concerning because they sound like stereotypes of the worst kind, but hey, they’ve been here a year and something I can’t even buy they’re trolling -_- that said we all get old so good luck if everything there is to you is Looks -_-
“Can I has tax papers?”
“Only if you confirm your personal info.”
“Sure thing, but these are randomly generated phone numbers and email addresses and not mine!”
“Tell us your real ones then via email.”
“Here you go.”
“Ok, try again.”
“These are the SAME FREAKING RANDOMLY GENERATED EMAILS AND PHONE NUMBERS!”

The screen was already on. It was the first time Laila was playing this kind of game, but she'd seen some of her other classmates use it and she tried to copy them. The little creature on the screen was hers to take care of. The tiny rubber buttons were to help her navigate the game. She happily lost herself in learning how to use it. It was a distraction, and it was exactly what she needed.
