Person A has a magical gift that any bad thing they read about happening will never happen to them, so they spend their time reading horror and true crime, thus forming plot armor if they ever land themselves in a dangerous situation. Person B is their reckless adrenaline junkie friend who is always trying to find new and dangerous situations to get themselves in and dragging Person A with them, like abandoned buildings, rundown factories, etc. And they start to learn the level of absurdity Person A’s plot armor will go to when Person A puts themself in danger.

Person A designed electronic greeting cards that pass on blessings to the person who receives them, a small charm and techno-witch magic. Person B is a prankster who decides to take their concept and send inconveniencing curses instead. But when someone starts further expanding on Person B’s card twist to pass on dangerous curses, and now Person A and Person B pair up to track down the criminal.

Blame Someone Else Day & National Marriage Day & Random Acts of Light Day

Person A has the curse/gift to glow in the presence of people who love someone, with different glows for different types of love, but to avoid them being used as a relationship mood ring or experimented on to understand their specific gift/curse, their parent took them away, and always teaches Person A to surround themself with people who are horrible and incapable of love. Person B is one such person vetted and allowed near Person A, but who triggers Person A’s powers, because Person B loves themself.

Person A is pawnshop owner who works with Person B, an exiled god who smuggles godly relics and items from other realms and is very good at locating them in the human world. Person A gives Person B a place to stay off the radar of other gods, since Person A has a blessing that makes them undetectable to any supernatural entity and it rubs off on those around them, so as long Person B stays in their vicinity frequently, they will be indistinguishable from a normal human. Normally, Person B would be an easy target to any supernatural hunter without Person A’s gift, but is able to live a relatively normal and mundane life. But in exchange, they help Person A acquire real and genuine relics to sell to their more high paying customers. Person A doesn’t care about the money though, since their true passion is just collecting silly and pointless antiques, and the only way to keep their shop running without financial stress is to have some very expensive items for those who know how to ask.

Person A is someone who helped out a fairy as a child and was given the blessing to be able to learn any language they wanted to incredibly quickly, regardless of lack of resources or if the language is dead or any other barriers to learning it - the only rule is that Person A needs to see the writing or hear someone speak it. Now as an adult, Person A uses this as a party trick more than anything. But one day, Person A gets approached by a government agent who wants Person A to help them translate a recently discovered language. Person A thinks it will be one of the old languages they learned for fun as a kid and agrees since they’re always eager to show off, but upon seeing/hearing the messages realizes that it’s an alien language. At first, Person A is excited to have such a challenge and to see if their blessing works on it, but as they start to learn and quickly understand the language, they start to realize that this request/job might be more dangerous than they originally thought, and it’s far too late to back out. Which they realize after they come face to face with Person B, the trapped alien that the government is keeping, and who Person A can perfectly understand can’t help but empathize with.

Person A is a centuar who wishes to compete in athletic competitions but is banned due to the rarity of centuars and the physical advantages/differences between them and human athletes. Person B is a god of transformation, often considered the ancestor of all shapeshifters, and Person A seeks them out to try to get their blessing to be able to transform into a human so they can be an athlete and compete and have camaraderie with a team.
