i think all the people that *matter* will! like for example, since jack and his sister have never been super close, he doesn’t see a reason to try to make amends for the sake of his kids when she didn’t want to make amends when she had kids, if that makes sense! obviously he still cares for her kids, but doesn’t feel the need to extend a branch that (in his mind) she’d chop off if that makes sense!
