I really love creative writing, or any type of writing in general!
And I was watching a TikTok edit by @/sheikahrie (Go check em out please!) who made the edit with the song “How much longer till I’m Taller” with the focuses of Breath of The Wild The Champion’s final battle against the Blight Ganon’s! And it just made me think how gut wrenching this song fits so well. It made me wonder, did any of them ever ask themselves “How much longer? … My hands tremble with soreness, my legs are starting to buckle…? How much longer until Link defeats the calamity?…” did any of them ever quietly admit to themselves they’re scared? But they carried themselves forward because they knew the fate of Hyrule, their homes, their loved ones were waiting for them? Are there ever enough words to describe what they must have thought before the final strike they received?
I’m sure that they must have thought “Someone smaller is out there… someone that needs us, me, to protect them. All of them!”
The pressure, their honor, even, for some of the champions (or maybe all of them depending on how you see it) how heavy it was on their shoulders…
The Champions were all incredible with incredible story telling. While I wish there was more mentioning of them in Tears of The Kingdom, I’m still happy there even is a sequel!
