Honestly it took having the original high def songs from the BotW OST for me to finally hear the old Kakariko theme in the new Kakariko theme and when I tell you they buried that old familiar melody deep in the background they buried it way back there.
I’d listen to people trying to talk about it and point it out on YouTube and I’d be like “It’s not there, you and Nintendo are both lying.” But I finally heard it for the first time last night as I was listening to it.
It’s much easier to hear in the night version of the music and it’s played on something that sounds a bit like an accordion — that same instrument plays harmony for the melody though, so it makes it harder to find.
