Greetings from Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Happy #meatymonday. (Yes, you and I both just discovered that’s a thing.) Well, here I am at Blimpy’s (as we know it in A2) with a fancy hand-tinted print I did years ago, which hangs in their new location. The drawing is of their beloved old spot on Division and Packard, torn down (along with half the block) so the U could build a plush new dorm for the classy freshmen who now need their own bedrooms, bathrooms, servants’ quarters, etc. Three to a room with one communal bathroom per floor? Not no more. The Higher Ed biz is higher toned these days. Anyway, I stopped in for my usual HealthyChoice lunch: a quad burger with fried salami and olives with a side of o-rings. (The Coke is 30% diet, so it evens out.) And it was still a damned delight. Love ya, Blimpy’s!
