Hi!! Specific request, but do you perhaps have any fic recommendations with blind Sherlock? Maybe he went blind because of an injury or just yk is blind, I just got the question of how being blind would affect his defective work (or rather the inability to do it the same as before) and his general outlook on life.

Sherlock receives a blow to the head during his torture and goes blind Mycroft's guilt over allowing his baby brother to get into a torture situation is suppressing his observational skills; Sherlock is /very/ aware that Mycroft said he was only bringing Sherlock home because of the "imminent terrorist attack" Mycroft thinks it's just some remaining weakness in his legs when he hip-checks some of the seats in the plane they get to take him home When Mycroft is giving Sherlock his debrief in his office, he notices Sherlock's conspicuous failure to ask the question Mycroft had been sure he would ask, that he had a file prepared to answer. "John is at the Landmark tonight," he announced, carefully bland "Unlike him to spend so much," is all Sherlock says. From the car, Anthea texts that he asked for Baker Street, not the Landmark. Mycroft begins to realize something is very, very wrong. (Why, Sherlock thinks, would John need to be told he is back? His return is still a secret, after all, and it's not like he can be of use to John anymore. He doesn't even know how he will solve Mycroft's case, let alone run around the way John would need.) @addignisherlock

Oof, my bad, Steph! I'm the person who asked about The Heart in the Whole and I phrased my request rather poorly. I meant blinded in a literal sense, not in a distracted-by-a-case sense (though I do realise that's what it sounded like and I will def look at your case fic lists, thanks for those) but in an actual temporarily-physically-blinded-due-to-an-injury-sustained-during-a-case sense. Sorry!

Hi! Your fic recs are amazing – always helping me find something great to read <3 but this time I’m looking for a certain fic. It was set after The Great Game, but at the pool Sherlock fired a gun which caused an exsplosion. At the same time someone shot Sherlock in the head, but he survived and temporarily lost his eyesight. I’ve read it a long time ago, so unfortunately I don’t remember more details. I hope you could help me find it :D
