The Sound of Silence (Simon & Garfunkel) The song that brought us the iconic lyric "Hello darkness, my old friend." The song's narrator embraces both darkness and silence, as an alternative to meaningless noise and false idols made of neon lights.
Blind Vision (Blancmange) "It's about people who are too blinkered to see what's staring them in the face, too stubborn to accept the truth. It's also about blind faith, accepting religion at face value." "Blind hope, blind visions Blind centre, one centre Blind living and seeing Blind hell, blind hell Blind visions and no reasons For action, blind words Blind visions and no reasons For action, blind words"

Blancmange - Blind Vision (from Mange Tout) Got a hankering to dig into this 80s gem again. Such a great album! I listened to the crap out of this in my teens. Love it. Sorry I’ve been MIA. Covid is nasty (even if it’s mild). On the mend.
as excited as i am for phase 4 can we talk about how shitty the after math of being an avenger is.. like tony, nat, and “colored” vision are dead, bucky literally can’t sleep at night, clint’s going deaf and his family’s always in danger, steve.. i’m not even gonna comment on him and his old ass girlfriend, don’t get me started on how dirty they do wanda throughout the whole mcu ESPECIALLY in wanda vision, and they got sam battling white america like come tf on. realistically as a poc i know for a fact sam would be constantly hate crimed if the mcu was real.. we see how they openly kill black men and women on the regular today. but yea moral of the story that shit just seems like such a shit show ..
