Curse of Strahd: Is No Fun, Is No Blinsky

Holy shit wait I just thought of a theory: Spoilers Cos ep 13 and EoM ep 30

Is Blinsky II just the combined souls of Blinsky and Pidlwick II reconstructed together in a mechanical body? Like is that why he doesn't rember who made him and why he just poped into existance in Druskenvald? Blinsky and Pidlwick died and were reborn together in a new body and continued the Blinsky legacy.

I know the book describes Blinksy as like

an inherently depressing man with a failing business

but I decided it'd be way funnier if he's super-chipper and friendly and completely oblivious to the fact that his toys are super-creepy and that normal kids probably wouldn't want them

so in my game I turned him from a sad clown to a man genuinely delighted by monsters and living the dream making all his morbid toys and--ACTUALLY now that I think about it I think I just turned him into Guillermo del Toro

Maybe it's the edible talking but what if I wrote a stupid little fanfic where Strahd becomes absolutely enamored with Blinsky because he's such a rare bright spot in Barovia and kidnaps him, locks him in a tower like a damsel in a fairy tale.

Adventuring party of the week has to rescue him. Strahd can't decide if he wants to break Blinsky's spirit or simply savor it before it inevitably crumbles on its own. Conversations where Strahd is doing the affable villain shtick and Blinsky is terrified out of his mind and babbling whatever he can think of. He bonds with Piddlewick II and then finds out what happened to Piddlewick I. Volenta steals his dolls so he makes one that looks like her. Rahadin is confused as hell and angry because he's confused.

Eventually the Adventuring party of the week rescues him and he's very glad to go, but a part of him feels a twinge because as scary as it was he was getting so much positive(?) attention compared to his usual lonely life.
