With Blizzards recent decision on banning Blitschung for supporting his home country of Hong Kong, there has been major backlash but the thing that stands out in the gaming community are people's willingness to stand in solidarity with each other. Canceling their Blizzard accounts on various platforms and getting rid of their pre orders. I couldnt help but feel proud of our online community. March on gamers

All this gamer support for Hong Kong really moved me - and I don't like dropping political things here...but the bad guys win when we avert our gaze. I'm not saying all the rioters are right in their actions, and I realize Blizzard doesn't want to take a stance - but most first world people didn't want to stand up to Germany when millions of people were murdered, either.

People everywhere deserve a voice. People everywhere deserve freedom. You'd think the company presenting Sylvanas as a brutal dictator crushing outspoken citizens and their rebellion against her would likewise condemn such behavior in the real world.

Shame about 8.3 - I was considering coming back for Vulpera/WoW anniversary things.

Doin it baby. Even though I JUST dished out for a 6 month sub. Canceled my sub renew, packed my characters up in a box, changed status messages and personal guild motds to reflect it. Not gonna request an account deletion, I have hope maybe they will learn their lesson still, which is why I bothered to log in just long enough to check mail in case this all lasts long enough for it to expire. Gonna redownload GuildWars2 in the meantime, I guess, let it install on the somewhat new computer and update while I try to get some sleep. I am not, however, nor will I ever abandon my fandom characters here and in my various fics, shared or otherwise. Those are mine, they are fun, and they don’t make Blizzard any money for being hypocritical jerks.
