The Stranger
(Entry for the DonâtKnock blog week ItâstheBlob is doing. Gonna make part 2 soon and thatâs all. Might continue it, Idk yet.) The portal worked to his surprise. Wilson smiled with excitement. He couldnât handle it anymore. He spent years trying to get it to work. And finally, it did. âFinally! Iâm out of this place!â He exclaimed. He jumped into the portal. He screamed as he ended up falling quite a few feet and landing on his stomach. He groaned in pain and rubbed his head. He got up and looked around. His eyes widened as he was in a dead forest surrounded by eerie trees that looked like they had sharp claws and were just itching to grab you if you got too close. âThis isnât my home....â He said as he started to walk. He hoped he was just a little distance from his house. His mood quickly changed when he saw lights in a distance. He started running to the light, staggering over some roots along the way. He smiled as he got closer and closer. Wilson burst through the branches. His smile quickly changed to a frown as he saw it wasnât his house. It was a completely different and overall just...weird house. It didnât look like any house he ever saw. He couldnât put into words just how strange the house was. The structural integrity and design of the house was strange and gave him a sense of unease. (Itâll just be for the night.) He thought to himself as he started walking towards it. Unbeknownst to him, he didnât know the owner would be in his own deadly world. Lodger covered his face in his hands as he hid behind his telescope. He hoped the guest didnât notice him. He blinked and quickly looked up when he heard the knocking. The guest was already gone. He continued staying hidden, afraid to come out. He muttered to himself as he quickly got out of his hiding spot when the knocking continued, more louder this time. He shuffled downstairs and walked through the rooms as quickly and quietly as he could. He unlocked the door and opened a crack. His eyes widened as he saw the black haired gentleman standing in front of him. He hadnât seen a human in so long that he got used to the knocking being anything but an actual person. He opened the door wider. Lodger: âHello?â Wilson: âHey there. Uhm erm, I think Iâm lost. Would it be alright if I spent the night? I donât have anywhere to go.â His face flushed red in embarrassment as he waited for the shorter ginger man to answer. Lodger opened the door wider. Wilson quickly noticed the disheveled, tired look the man possessed. Lodger: âYouâre welcome to spend the night. Itâs dangerous out there.â He stepped to the side and Wilson quickly walked in. Lodger closed the door behind him. Lodger: âWould you like tea?â Wilson: âIâd love some tea.â Lodger nodded and walked into the kitchen. Wilson looked around while he followed him. Even the inside was strange. Wilson sat down at the table and watched Lodger turn the stove on and fill a kettle with water. Wilson: âMy name is Wilson P. Higgsbury. Whatâs your name?â Lodger cussed in Russian quietly. He didnât know how to respond to the question. He put the kettle on the stove and quickly started thinking of an answer. Lodger: âName? Uh yeah, name.... Hm, you can call me Lodger.â Wilson: âItâs nice to meet you, Lodger.â Lodger: Itâs nice to meet you too.âÂ
