(eyo i dropped a horrible class and i feel so much better i was screwed if i didn’t withdraw it hopefully i can get back in a groove of things sometime this weekend or next week i dont know when ill be fully on yet im still debating if im even going to continue rps though fanfics is still 100%)
(i already havent been on here much but oh well i dont have the motivation to use this blog temporarily idk when ill be back on my mental sanity is at an all time low college is literally the worst fucking thing in existence ill just be on once in a while to check on the blogs i follow and thats about as much activity there will be hopefully ill be seeing yall soon)

(Math really loves to give me the urge to drop out of college or kms. It is the worst fucking subject I have ever done. No reason why I need to take it when my job entails me looking at blood splatters and finding hair. I don’t need to know how much it costed for Jimmy to buy 200 apples ffs. I will have a few fanfics done tonight so be on a lookout.)

A visitor in the night
((Roleplay courtesy of @bormot! Thank you for indulging me!)) Tap-tap-tap It was late, Bormot hadn’t anticipated any visitors. Even the lost wanderer hadn’t visited for years. However, there was no need to answer the door. His guest was already inside. Pale eyes wandered curiously over the old home. Familiar, yet not. A sense of distant nostalgia. This was his home, and it needed tending to. “Finally, I’m home.” He chirped with a grin, running a hand over a dusty end table. It was broken, and twisted, but still home. Lifting his candle with a shaky hand, the guest starts towards the living room. There, he meets a reflection of himself. What strange eyes, with dark circles in the center! The funny man even had a candle, just like himself. “A guest?” He was stealing Bormot’s words straight from his mind, before it could even be caught in his throat.
*Bormot’s eyes widened in shock as he stared at a reflection of himself. He knew that the guests were lurking around every corner right now. However, he didn’t know there was one that looked just like him. Chills went down his spine as he stared directly at the pupil-less man that looked like a spitting image of him* <A guest that looks like me? How peculiar. It seems like this night is going to be interesting….> *He thought to himself. He inhaled deeply as he started to slowly back away from the other Bormot. He was scared of what he or it would try to do to him* <The furnace is just behind me. I have a chance to get to it and hide.> *He quickly turned around and rushed toward the furnace room as fast as he could*
The guest grins, starting after Bormot at a similar pace. His candle flickers against the movement.
He liked games. Tag was one of his favorites.
“Where are you going, friend?” His grin stretched almost too far across his face. “Are we playing a game?”
It was custom for the host to greet their guests. Perhaps they were just shy?
They were nearing the furnace room. And then suddenly—
His guest was gone. Frowning, he slowed down.
“Hellooo?~” He drew the word out, creeping around the room. The furnace sizzling quietly.
*Lodger had quickly ducked behind the furnace. He covered his eyes and curled up into a little ball on the floor. He shook as he tried getting the guest’s voice out of his head* <This guest sounds exactly like me! But something’s off about it….> *He knew he couldn’t let his mind wander off too much. He had to stay focused if he was going to get away from the guest without being seen. Perhaps he could try locking the guest in the room….He suspected he was just going to have to go for it. He had to make an attempt to get away*
The odd doppelgänger was creeping around, sometimes stopping to inspect a piece of furniture. Methodically working his way across the room.
It hadn’t been taken care of in a long time. That made his heart heavy.
He tapped his fingers along the furnace as he passed, humming happily at the warm sensation coming from it. He was leaving Bormot’s fingerprints on the layer of dust.
“Friend? Where have you gone?” The sing-song nature of his voice had died down. “I’m home, so there’s no need to prepare anything.” Perhaps he could make dinner, or set up a spare room?
His pale eyes flicker across the furnace one last time, before passing on to the next room.
For now, the real guest had lost sight of Bormot. He had a chance to lock the door, and/or move to another room.
*Lodger quietly peered around the furnace. When he saw the guest was gone, he quickly got out of his hiding spot and rushed out of the room. He closed the door quickly and started fumbling with the lock as he was still shaking. He locked the door and backed away from it, breathing heavily* I mustn’t let them see me… *He mumbled to himself. He tightened his scarf and walked away to the opposite direction. Bormot quietly made his way to the basement and went down. In one of the empty rooms, he turned the light on and closed his eyes. He opened them once they adjusted and he saw the items and furniture in his basement* Everything looks fine now. *He sighed and relief but bit his lip as he remembered the guest*
There was a long moment of silence as the real guest pondered about Bormot’s whereabouts. Perhaps he had gone to the kitchen for a snack, or the bathroom for just a moment?
He decided to check the bathroom first, humming loudly on the way.
And when he reached for the light switch at his destination, he found that the lights had burned out!
It was alright, he was prepared for situations like this. Repairing lights was like second nature. Reaching, he took the stool sitting underneath a noose to stand on so he could get better leverage on unscrewing the bulb.
There was a brief intrusive thought about looking for clocks… But that was silly talk! Why move time forward when he was having such fun?
A crack of lightning shakes the house to it’s core. There were holes somewhere that needed patching.
And narrowing his eyes, the doppelgänger feels that something has changed in the basement.
… He would look in a moment, once his task of repairing was complete.
Bormot risks more of the forest creeping into his home while the breach is active. He has a feeling he felt the opening in the observatory.
*Bormot crossed through several rooms in the basement to get to the other side of the house. He felt that creeping feeling deep in the pit of his stomach. He needed to check the observatory as well. He was unaware that the guest had a similar idea. Bormot took in a deep breath and slowly crept up the stairs, tensing up each time he stepped on a stair and it creaked under his slippers. He knew that the guest would not be too far away so he would have to go in and out as quietly and quickly as possible. It was close to morning. He had to make it* *Bormot sighed in relief as he made it to the observatory before the guest could see him. He turned on the lights to make sure the breach wasn’t there. That was way too close for him but he was glad he could stop the forest from getting inside and ruining his tasks. He hoped that another breach wouldn’t appear and that this night would be easier. Of course, he still had the guests to worry about. Surviving until dawn would be a difficult task*
Satisfied with his work on the lights, the doppelgänger steps down from the stool, returning it to its original position.
Now, there was the matter of the observatory. More guests could be welcomed in there!

“Friend?” He calls out, climbing a set of stairs. They barely creak under his light footsteps. He was approaching the observatory quickly.
Like cat and mouse, toying with his prey before lunging. But now he was moving with a bigger sense of urgency.
*Bormot’s eyes widened as he turned to the doorway of the observatory* Oh no, it’s coming! *He rushed to the door and slammed it shut. He fumbled with the lock before locking the door. He turned off the light and quickly walked to the stairs and walked down. He was in such a rush to get away that he ended up missing a step and falling down. He groaned as he landed on his stomach and dropped his candle, causing the fire to flicker out. He gasped and quickly got to his knees as he fumbled in his pockets for a match* Come on, come on…. *He started striking a match on the cold wooden floor, trying to get the match to light*
The doppelgänger frowns as he immediately notices that the door is locked. It wasn’t much of an obstacle, per se, but he didn’t remember locking it! His memory was getting worse and worse.
Phasing through the wooden door, he examines the surroundings of the observatory. No new guests here…
But he does hear quiet cursing and mumbling, as well as the noise of something striking against wood.
He moves toward it, silently stepping down the stairs.
He finally found his guest! Curled up on the floor, trying to light a match.
Stepping closer, he leans down, lighting his guest’s candle with his own.
Bormot can feel his skin and mind burn the closer the doppelgänger gets. His candle slowly lights up.
“Found you.”

(gj fam) *Horrified, Bormot crawled back in fear away from the guest. He breathed heavily and waved his candle at the guest to try and scare it away* G-get away from me! Yo-you’re not supposed to be here! *Sweat rolled down his forehead as he stared intently at the guest. His head pounded and his heart beat rapidly. His muscles almost felt frozen. He wanted to scream and fight to get away but his body couldn’t move all that much. He was scared of what the guest will do to him*
“Not supposed to be here?” He mimics the words almost perfectly. “This is my home!”
He only smiles more, trying to approach further.
“Are you lost? I love having guests over.”
A painful memory resurfaces when he extends his hand. Distant, yet clawing are the back of Bormot’s mind…
The closer the doppelgänger was, the more the memory became clear.
Like time was moving backwards, backwards, backwards—
*Lodger held his head in pain as the pounding intensified. He breathed heavily and stared down at the ground as something flashed in his mind. Was it a light? A hallucination? No, it was a memory. A hard, dark, memory. It was just one of many he forced himself to lock away and forget. Now, it came at him almost clear as day. He heard a familiar voice in his memory, one that sounded both calming yet threatening. He looked up at the guest’s hand, a burning image flashed in front of him as the hand changed into a larger, more muscular hand. The hand of a doctor delivering empty promises to get a naive and innocent child to trust him. Lodger screamed and slapped the guest’s hand away and bolted for the stairs, dropping his candle and letting it flicker out. He didn’t care for it at that moment. He just needed to get the hell away, make the throbbing pain go away. It was hurting too much*
Shocked at the sudden reaction, the doppelgänger just stands there for a good while. Trying to process what had been so frightening.
Perhaps he had snuck up on his guest too suddenly? And he left his candleholder behind, as well…
Picking up the discarded candle, he fastens it back to Bormot’s candleholder, gripping it in his off-hand. Maybe it would make his guest feel better if he had it back?
He heads in the direction Bormot ran off in. It was dangerous to be in the dark for prolonged periods of time, after all! Who knows what sort of horrors hid in these untouched corridors?
Speaking of, he could hear distant crying. The weeping noises of a nearby dashenka.
*Bormot’s head started to pound as he ran after losing his candles. He needed a safe hiding spot from the guest and any other evil lurking. He breathed heavily as he ran into the observatory room and hid behind the telescope. He covered his eyes and hunched over, shaking in fear. He could hear the distant groaning of a guest looking for him. He knew he’d have to wait for the guest to go buy and make a dash to his bedroom. He had more candles in his drawer.* “If I can just get to my bedroom.....” *He muttered before letting out a groan and holding his head in pain. His head pounded so hard that it felt like his eyeballs would pop out of their sockets. He inhaled deeply and peeked between his fingers* <They haven’t made it to this room> *He thought to himself. He slowly stood up and walked to the doorway and peered out. He squinted his eyes to try and get a better view but without his candle, it was almost pointless* *Bormot took a deep breath and quietly crept into the next room. He held his breath as he made the floorboard squeak underneath his foot* <I hope they didn’t hear that...> *He took another step and a few more small steps, doing his best to avoid potentially squeaky floorboards. He needed to get to the next room without drawing the guest over. It was unfortunately going in the same direction he was going in* <If I make it to the stairs before it, I can dash to my room and hide. I got this>

“Friend?” He calls out, climbing a set of stairs. They barely creak under his light footsteps. He was approaching the observatory quickly.
Like cat and mouse, toying with his prey before lunging. But now he was moving with a bigger sense of urgency.
*Bormot’s eyes widened as he turned to the doorway of the observatory* Oh no, it’s coming! *He rushed to the door and slammed it shut. He fumbled with the lock before locking the door. He turned off the light and quickly walked to the stairs and walked down. He was in such a rush to get away that he ended up missing a step and falling down. He groaned as he landed on his stomach and dropped his candle, causing the fire to flicker out. He gasped and quickly got to his knees as he fumbled in his pockets for a match* Come on, come on…. *He started striking a match on the cold wooden floor, trying to get the match to light*
The doppelgänger frowns as he immediately notices that the door is locked. It wasn’t much of an obstacle, per se, but he didn’t remember locking it! His memory was getting worse and worse.
Phasing through the wooden door, he examines the surroundings of the observatory. No new guests here…
But he does hear quiet cursing and mumbling, as well as the noise of something striking against wood.
He moves toward it, silently stepping down the stairs.
He finally found his guest! Curled up on the floor, trying to light a match.
Stepping closer, he leans down, lighting his guest’s candle with his own.
Bormot can feel his skin and mind burn the closer the doppelgänger gets. His candle slowly lights up.
“Found you.”

(gj fam) *Horrified, Bormot crawled back in fear away from the guest. He breathed heavily and waved his candle at the guest to try and scare it away* G-get away from me! Yo-you’re not supposed to be here! *Sweat rolled down his forehead as he stared intently at the guest. His head pounded and his heart beat rapidly. His muscles almost felt frozen. He wanted to scream and fight to get away but his body couldn’t move all that much. He was scared of what the guest will do to him*

However, there was no need to answer the door. His guest was already inside. Pale eyes wandered curiously over the old home. Familiar, yet not. A sense of distant nostalgia. This was his home, and it needed tending to. “Finally, I’m home.” He chirped with a grin, running a hand over a dusty end table. It was broken, and twisted, but still home. Lifting his candle with a shaky hand, the guest starts towards the living room. There, he meets a reflection of himself. What strange eyes, with dark circles in the center! The funny man even had a candle, just like himself. “A guest?” He was stealing Bormot’s words straight from his mind, before it could even be caught in his throat.
*Bormot’s eyes widened in shock as he stared at a reflection of himself. He knew that the guests were lurking around every corner right now. However, he didn’t know there was one that looked just like him. Chills went down his spine as he stared directly at the pupil-less man that looked like a spitting image of him* <A guest that looks like me? How peculiar. It seems like this night is going to be interesting….> *He thought to himself. He inhaled deeply as he started to slowly back away from the other Bormot. He was scared of what he or it would try to do to him* <The furnace is just behind me. I have a chance to get to it and hide.> *He quickly turned around and rushed toward the furnace room as fast as he could*
The guest grins, starting after Bormot at a similar pace. His candle flickers against the movement.
He liked games. Tag was one of his favorites.
“Where are you going, friend?” His grin stretched almost too far across his face. “Are we playing a game?”
It was custom for the host to greet their guests. Perhaps they were just shy?
They were nearing the furnace room. And then suddenly—
His guest was gone. Frowning, he slowed down.
“Hellooo?~” He drew the word out, creeping around the room. The furnace sizzling quietly.
*Lodger had quickly ducked behind the furnace. He covered his eyes and curled up into a little ball on the floor. He shook as he tried getting the guest’s voice out of his head* <This guest sounds exactly like me! But something’s off about it….> *He knew he couldn’t let his mind wander off too much. He had to stay focused if he was going to get away from the guest without being seen. Perhaps he could try locking the guest in the room….He suspected he was just going to have to go for it. He had to make an attempt to get away*
The odd doppelgänger was creeping around, sometimes stopping to inspect a piece of furniture. Methodically working his way across the room.
It hadn’t been taken care of in a long time. That made his heart heavy.
He tapped his fingers along the furnace as he passed, humming happily at the warm sensation coming from it. He was leaving Bormot’s fingerprints on the layer of dust.
“Friend? Where have you gone?” The sing-song nature of his voice had died down. “I’m home, so there’s no need to prepare anything.” Perhaps he could make dinner, or set up a spare room?
His pale eyes flicker across the furnace one last time, before passing on to the next room.
For now, the real guest had lost sight of Bormot. He had a chance to lock the door, and/or move to another room.
*Lodger quietly peered around the furnace. When he saw the guest was gone, he quickly got out of his hiding spot and rushed out of the room. He closed the door quickly and started fumbling with the lock as he was still shaking. He locked the door and backed away from it, breathing heavily* I mustn’t let them see me… *He mumbled to himself. He tightened his scarf and walked away to the opposite direction. Bormot quietly made his way to the basement and went down. In one of the empty rooms, he turned the light on and closed his eyes. He opened them once they adjusted and he saw the items and furniture in his basement* Everything looks fine now. *He sighed and relief but bit his lip as he remembered the guest*
There was a long moment of silence as the real guest pondered about Bormot’s whereabouts. Perhaps he had gone to the kitchen for a snack, or the bathroom for just a moment?
He decided to check the bathroom first, humming loudly on the way.
And when he reached for the light switch at his destination, he found that the lights had burned out!
It was alright, he was prepared for situations like this. Repairing lights was like second nature. Reaching, he took the stool sitting underneath a noose to stand on so he could get better leverage on unscrewing the bulb.
There was a brief intrusive thought about looking for clocks… But that was silly talk! Why move time forward when he was having such fun?

*Bormot crossed through several rooms in the basement to get to the other side of the house. He felt that creeping feeling deep in the pit of his stomach. He needed to check the observatory as well. He was unaware that the guest had a similar idea. Bormot took in a deep breath and slowly crept up the stairs, tensing up each time he stepped on a stair and it creaked under his slippers. He knew that the guest would not be too far away so he would have to go in and out as quietly and quickly as possible. It was close to morning. He had to make it* *Bormot sighed in relief as he made it to the observatory before the guest could see him. He turned on the lights to make sure the breach wasn’t there. That was way too close for him but he was glad he could stop the forest from getting inside and ruining his tasks. He hoped that another breach wouldn’t appear and that this night would be easier. Of course, he still had the guests to worry about. Surviving until dawn would be a difficult task*

(I think it’s about time I talk about a dream I had. I had a dream that my friends and I were checking out a store and the store was a horror game themed store and we ended up finding a small shack the store uses as storage. We went inside the shack and found a bunch of Knock-Knock merch. There were dolls, figurines, cosplay clothes, and even snowglobes. We went inside the store so I could talk to the workers about letting me get a doll (I have a Lodger doll irl from Etsy) and he was basically a clone of Lodger. I don’t remember if he actually was Lodger of if it was just a coincidence. I sadly woke up after that.) (Also, the store itself had some cool horror game themed arcade games and had merch from other games and even Don’t Starve merch.)

I really want to start drawing Knock Knock art but I don’t like trying things and then messing up. Whenever I practice something and mess up, I want to quit for good.
College
College sure is hectic. I haven’t written anything on here for a while. Starting tomorrow night, I’ll try to write a part almost every night.
