I’m sorry! My advice is block and delete and then block and delete some more.  If you have something substantive to say to someone you could reply, but remember you have control and you don’t have to. 

If it’s not asks but on your dash remember that you can unfollow people.  Also I find postblock very satisfying.  It doesn’t save me from seeing it a first time, but wooshing it away is great.
