Well this really took place 2 weeks ago. I was too busy with school and Elevate during the last couple of weeks that's why I didn't have the time to do this blog but anyway! After a week of intense research and immersion in Batan, Aklan, me and my college friends went to Boracay to unwind even for a short time.
After being at Aklan Catholic College to present our findings in the community, we then head to Caticlan on the way there by riding a tricycle towards the van rentals terminal which I believe, their tricycles can carry up to 10 passengers. Well, that's too much for me to see and know for the first time.
Time flies really fast in Boracay the moment we got there. Imagine the sunset for just 10 seconds? It really happened and I didn't know why.
Still, this sunset gave me so much feels.
A night after playing Frisbee at the beach. Actually, during that time, I wasn't feeling well so I didn't play well. Hahahaha.
After a great afternoon at the beach, we've decided to eat dinner at I Love Backyard BBQ. Really, we are in need of meat since we ate seafood during our stay at the community in Batan. And this one resulted in so much goodness. The food is awesome and the look of the restaurant is catchy.
A plate of Filipino Style Pork Belly sizzler. This is really great the fact that they have huge servings and it seems the taste of everything is awesome!
Of course, after a look great dinner, we had to go and roam around, explore the night life at Boracay. To be honest, it was my first time in Boracay. And i'm not really that type of guy who likes being with a lot of people that's why I say to you, February is the perfect time to go there and not summer! The beach is really clean and lesser people.
Why will you even try to sleep so early here? Hahahaha.
After the night, we had to wake up early so we can do so much. We woke up at 6am. Actually, the girls woke up early and they woke me up early which was around precisely 5:27am so that I can take pictures of them during sunrise. It was a good morning even though some of my friends were on hangover. We really maximized our time.
We took advantage of the fine sand here. We can play Frisbee so well with bare feet (well, some of us)!
Another set of vain shots before heading out to Station 1 to eat breakfast.
After a long walk from Station 2, we went to Station 1. There, we ate at Jonah's fruit shake. They have great fruit shake and breakfast. But I admit, service sucks.
And the trail continues. Swimming and walking towards the shorelines of Boracay.
I really find this father and son photo cute. So much stories can be made through here.
All in all, it was a great mini-vacation! Just the right amount of days in exchange for a week of intense work.
