A Question for My Readers Regarding My Policy on Replying to Posts
Good morning friends and readers!
I have a quick question for all of you regarding my policy when it comes to replying to my posts and the same in kind.
If I decided to relax my current blanket ban on replies to my posts, and allow replies to my posts so long as you don’t mind me replying to you in kind via quoting your replies and adding my own in either a reblog of the original post being replied to or in a new post altogether, when Tumblr decides to get weird with me about how many times I can reblog the same dmaned post?
Would that be a good enough compromise?
The replying feature here on Tumblr is still one of the top five aspects of Tumblr that is completely and absolutely broken from an accessibility perspective, and that hasn’t changed one bit, and I will still more likely than not respond to other people’s posts through the reblog function on this website like I have been doing up until now.
But the reason why I’m asking this question and am thinking about making a slight change to this aspect of my blog policy, is because I had a conversation with someone through instant messages yesterday where they asked me to allow replys on my posts again, and that the reason why they don’t interact with any of my posts at all despite actually desiring to do so, is because they only interact with posts through replies and I currently don’t allow on my blog currently.
You may answer this my inquiry about a possible change of my policy in tthrough replies, so that I can see if anyone reading this blog would like for me to make the slight change, as well as to see first hand if I can figure out a method by which to track replies as I receive them, so I can reply in kind through either a reblogged post or a new post altogether.
I hope you are all doing well and that the prelude to the holidays aren’t causing you problems!
