Okay so i’m retaking a mandatory class that I failed last year (canadian history post confederation) and like despite it sounding awful and bleak it was one of my favourite classes of my entire undergrad so far and it was super engaging (the textbook was “Colour-coded: A Legal History of Racism in Canada” by Constance Backhouse and honestly? my pussy pops for this book and this book only. its so good) ANYWAY the course was super woke but I got r*ped and failed like most of my classes last year bc of it... now im retaking the course and theres a new prof and she is the EPITOME of like die hard centrist, is literally a 65 year old white lady, shes probably racist, she specializes in colonial era history anyway which a) is a red flag unless ur studying it in terms of like,,, first peoples rights or like any anti colonial framework and b) she isnt even fucking equipped to teach the class like she wasnt able to answer a single question during the lecture oh i am going to snap this class is gonna be the death of me
