Hotel Review: Bloomfield Hotel, Baguio City.
City of Pines - one of the places that I had never imagined I would frequently visit. Just my luck that my fiance is from Baguio. So let me start with the best hotel I have been to - Bloomfield Hotel. It was last July when we visited this hotel. This was not the first choice that we had though, it was Casa Vallejo, because of the cheaper room price as some hotels in Baguio were on rainy season promo. Rates were as follows: Casa Vallejo at 1,400 php, no breakfast included and Bloomfield at 1,819 php but with free set breakfast. Not bad, eh? Not being able to make early reservations for the hotel, luckily, I mean really, luckily, Casa Vallejo was already fully booked when we got there so we opted to stay in Bloomfield because aside from the promo, it is very near SM Baguio, you just literally have to cross the street to get to the mall. Their staff was very friendly and accommodating, the place is very cozy from the lobby to the room itself.
Hallway from our hotel room.
Since we did not make any reservations ahead, they only had a room with two single beds available. But that did not cause any problem at all. We had a room attendant help us out in joining the beds together so we could have one looking like a double bed setup.
See, all happy now! Here’s a picture of the toilet, too. I don’t see any blogs promoting the restroom and I am very very particular of it. Hah! Clean and and comfortable. Not too big, but again, it had a very clean and functional shower, both hot and cold. :)
Then we went out to check Bencab Museum after settling down our things.
After Bencab, we got ourselves some booze from the liquor store near the hotel, went back to the hotel, had some chitchats, watched tv and rested until the next morning. Imagine how tired we were that day. Morning came and breakfast was served at Patch Cafe, the hotel’s very own, newly renovated cafe. Patch Cafe is just so homey, from the aroma of the coffee and cakes to the appetizing dishes that they serve.
I chose tapsilog and my fiance went for longsilog with orange juice from their complementary breakfast menu. Both were very delectable. Not your ordinary tapsilog, I say. The rice had a very distinct taste, the eggs were fresh and the tapa had a smoky flavor that made it very unique from all other tapa that I tasted.
They also serve various cakes and cupcakes. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time and spaces in our tummy to try some. But they all looked yummy!
So yes, my heart was filled to the brim with joy us having stayed in this awesome hotel, oh and did I mention that it was my birthday week when we stayed here? I got all the relaxation I needed. And to sum it all up, I highly recommend this hotel for you stay in. Ambience is perfect, staff are very nice, food is good and definitely worth your money. I was so happy with our 3 night stay here and will definitely absolutely come back to this place!
