very true! i think she tends to be seen/designed as medicinal and not as much like inventory? great word usage. almost wrote “scientific” until my dumb ass remembered that medicine is in fact science

idk, she´s described as being one of the greatest minds of the time and inventing the addermire solution etc. she´s definitely not an /inventor/ but i think the game´s disdain for jindosh particularly is more indicative of their opinions about industrialisation [and how dangerous it can be when technology is used for evil (aka in the interests of the powerful)]

i think you just perfectly articulated what i was trying to say the difference was between piero/sokolov/jindosh and hypatia: industrialization. it’s not so much scientists but industrialists that are the problem- which is why piero, other than not being an interesting character, drops off the map, as he has no industrial ambitions, while hypatia is so much more compelling as a character than any of the others
