This alien has learned some humans 'roll their eyes' to show displeasure. This alien did not know humans could take out their eyeballs. Wouldn't the eyes get dirty rolling on the floor? Or does humans roll them in their hands? This alien will conduct further research.

"Link," you think you hear someone say before you wake, tangled up with the wind and the leaves, "can you see it, too?" 

You scrub at one tired eye, tilting your head back until you can see the sky (halfway visible through Faron's canopy and starting to fill up with the colors of lavender, corn, the withered ancient flowers in your pouch), and even though every bone in you hurts, even though your throat is dry and your ears sunburned, that thing in the back of your chest (the one that used to sit with you on early mornings on the rooftop of the Knight Academy when the sun would crawl up over the horizon) eases you to your feet; and it sounds like Zelda, and it sounds like the clouds. 

You sling the sword over your aching shoulders again (good morning, Master Link; I hope that you slept well in preparation for today's journey), and you vaguely wonder what the trick had been to sleeping in late—you can't remember it for the life of you now.

people were briefly paying attention to me and now they're not and i'm trying to sort through conflicting impulses of "consciously try to be more interesting, Engage More", "it's probably coincidence, just be normal", and "curl up and wonder why they even glanced my way in the first place"

I still refuse to watch The Walking Dead and I only got up to volume 10 in the comics

too much for me, just too much. Parts of the comic put my stomach into knots and gave me nightmares, ughhhhhhhhh lol I even gave all my copies to Payton

fuck it I don't even care,  I got over my zombie phase in high school
