Wait, Stray Souls is Artur Laczkowski? Hahahaha, that's the dude that, while he was working at Blooper Team, made and started selling a "P.T. Emulator" that he claimed was 1:1 accurate to Konami's game

Spoiler: it definitely was NOT, and he remade it like four times from scratch. The first few versions were free, which I played, and was never terribly impressed by. Eventually the final remake version was put behind a paywall on Patreon for $15 supporters.

I remember playing version 3 and noticing right off the bat that the scale of everything in the map was wrong. Your character felt like they were seven feet tall. In fact... thanks to my pack rat nature, I never deleted the screenshots I took in 2019:

I mention it in the alt tag, but pay attention to our height in relation to the light on the left and the picture frames on the right. Now, the real P.T./Silent Hills:

It always bugged me he had the balls to start putting this behind a paywall, because even if Konami sucks, fan game development is not a job you get paid for doing. Especially not when you're claiming to be a "perfect 1:1 recreation" of something and I can tell you messed up almost from frame one. And on the third version, no less.

Presumably he left Blooper Team about the time they entered talks with Konami to remake Silent Hill 2 since I imagine Konami would be FURIOUS if they found out someone at Blooper was selling a "P.T. Emulator".

The fact this dude tried to sell a Silent Hills fan game, stumbled his way out of a studio that got signed to make an official Silent Hill game, and the end result is he put out an asset flip and then threw thousands of dollars at Youtube brand deals?

What a weird world we live in and also I'm getting an amount of schadenfreude from that

like every time i remember that they are the ones remaking Silent Hill 2, it makes me so sad
