"How long have you known?"
"What?" He inquired, absentmindedly, because he had been stroking her hair for a while already and he had started to focus just on that--the softness of her tresses, the nice smell, the little, satisfied noises she just made. It reminded him to what they were before everything happened, when she still remembered who she was and they were together, because she would feel, smell the same way, and she would also react like that back then. Her words hit him, caught him by surprise, and it was not until about a minute later that he finally understood what she might have meant.
"How long have I known I was in love with you?" Mike asked, feeling as his cheeks started to burn. It had become a normal sensation, feeling embarrassed whenever she asked such personal questions. It was still her Adelaide, of course, but now that she did not remember anything it was like pouring his heart out to a stranger, and that always made him feel slightly nervous. He was nervous she would laugh, or think he was a tool, or not take him seriously, or simply react in a different way from how she reacted the first time--although he was, unfortunately, starting to get used to that feeling. "Well... I actually think I've always been a little in love with you, ever since I first met you," he finally admitted, pressing his lips together as he stared at the ceiling, his hand still caressing her brunette locks. There was now a tiny, almost shy grin on his face, and he huffed out a chuckle. "I mean, of course I noticed it was something true and deep later on, but from the very first time I saw you... I just knew. I knew I couldn't let you go. I had to try and make you notice me, even if it was in the most ridiculous ways I could think of," he explained, laughing softly again.

Adelaide chuckled low and leaned against the bar, shaking her head carefully. “I doubt you would have spent the rest of her your life wondering about what I was going to say, but,” she paused for dramatic effect - taking the time to make her another drink. She’d been coming here for some time and Adelaide would have been a fool not to notice her - or some part of her. As she slowly slid the beverage in front of her, she finally lifted her chocolate gaze to settle on the woman’s face before she was pressing both palms flat against the bar top. “I’m kind of upset that I still don’t know your name, but you seem to know mine.” Because she’d over heard the blonde say it once. Or twice.
She'd been tempted to point out that she would definitely have been curious for that long, that it was in her nature, but she became far too distracted by the woman's eyes. Well, it was her eyes at first. Before Amelia knew it, it was Adelaide's mouth that her gaze was settled on as a new curiosity settled in - were they as soft as they looked? Leaning back a little - and cursing the drinks that clearly were stronger than their candy color suggested - she finally answered the question. "I'm Amelia Fitzgerald. Feel free to come up with any nickname involving it, as long as you don't go with Amy because I really hate that even though Amy Pond from Doctor Who is pretty badass." She paused, both for air and out of embarrassment. As her cheeks turned a delicate shade of pink, she flashed the brunette a bashful smile. "I also ramble when I'm nervous. Or drunk." Wanting to salvage some of her dignity, she turned the tables. "And you're Adelaide Monroe as we both know. I can't help but wonder how were you so sure I knew your name though."
"I was worried your plane wouldn't make it!" Delilah smiled warmly. "I'm so happy you're finally here, and I'm so excited for Thanksgiving!"
