okay okay, before you throw tomatoes at me, hear me out.
I feel like John would find her at least, amusing to say the least. If he could laugh off Karkat's insults then I’m sure he’d wouldn’t really mind CAc obsessive behavior. Maybe finding it a little weird or just rolling his eyes but if they were friends, I’m sure they’d have good chemistry. Silly oblivious goofball x Crazy yet devoted, what a fun pair!
Both of them do Drabble in a bit of tomfoolery, so imagine the amounts of pranks and trickery they could get up to. Especially with Cac’s sewing skills!!
I once heard about Candy Apple cookie being a sort of magician assistant and I couldn’t help but take the opportunity. COME ON, IMAGINE JOHN EGBERT FINALLY ACHIEVING HIS MAGICIAN DREAMS AND CANDY APPLE COOKIE BECOMING HIS ASSISTANT!!! YOU CANNOT TELL ME THAT IT WOULDNT BE PERFECT.
Candy apple cookie would continuously cheer him on during it. She would always make sure that his preformances were perfect and that everyone would laugh as his jokes and clap for him.
I feel like Candy Apple cookie would do everything in her power to help Egbert out with his depression in the future. Encouraging him to peruse anything, making stuff for him, taking care of him, and never EVER leaving his side.
while Egbert could probably help her learn how to have an identity for herself without feeling like she has to impress him. He would love her, for her. Not the candy coated version she made for herself to impress him. He is her liberty.
candy apple cookie would do ANYTHING for Egbert. Even sacrificing herself for him. Oof. Angsty.
We also got loves too much x loves too little, both of them reminding each other of people that they cared about but are now gone or cut off (for Candy Apple cookie it’s Shadow milk cookie, and for Egbert it’s his dad in a way and possibly Dave if you want to go with the unrequited love route for him), Egbert accidentally feeding into Cac’s need to be wanted due to him possibly dismissing her attempts to impress him, or Candy Apple cookie seeing John as a replacement for Shadow milk cookie because those two are surprisingly similar if you think about it, possible unrequited love too, you get the deal.
overall, these two would mash together in a pretty cool way. Two tricksters who probably help each other improve on themselves!
from learning how to lie less, and grounding yourself with the help of someone, they could make each other better. Or worse. Depends on how I feel.
(also I can’t help but get reminded of how John got into the session when I pair these two together. I heard that it was inspired by the forbidden fruit which was an apple and Candy Apple cookie is also inspired by that. I just think it’s neat!)
while this isn’t some perfect analysis of them, I still think these two have potential and chemistry. Just trust me on this mate :3c
