Blue Garden | Lotusland

The Blue Garden started in 1948 as a silver garden with the planting of blue Atlas cedars by Madame Ganna Walska. It evolved into the Blue Garden as she added blue-foliaged plants to complement the cedars. At the time, color-themed gardens were considered quite chic, and at its prime in the mid-1950s Lotusland's Blue Garden was celebrated as one of the most fascinating gardens in California. It is as relevant now as it was in Madame Walska's era as the plants are drought-tolerant and thrive in Santa Barbara's dry Mediterranean climate.

Blue plants featured: Festuca glauca - Blue Fescue (Europe), Senecio mandraliscae - Chalk Sticks (South Africa), Cedrus atlantica cv. 'Glauca' - Atlas Cedar (Atlas Mountains of Morocco), Jubaea chilensis - Chilean Wine Palm (Chile), Brahea armata - Blue Hesper Palm (Mexico), Agave attenuata cv. 'Boutin Blue' (Mexico), Agave americana (Mexico), Agave franzosinii.

I watched the pre-screening for EDENS ZERO!!!

Both episode 1 & 2 were pretty great ngl. I don’t speak Japanese but I could decipher it based on rereading the first two chapters. Episode 1 got me emotional. Well, it wasn’t that hard to make me emotional given that it was 6:30 am and I stayed up all night to watch it. I even prepared energy drinks but didn’t need it because I was too hyped up.

There were a couple of changes I noticed before (featured in the official trailer) and some visually. I think in Episode 2...when Shiki is introduced to Mother at Rebecca’s guild, he is talking about his wish. Maybe?? Could be wrong. We get flashbacks of the robots and of Michael on Granbell. But I believe is his wish was announced when the other crew members were saying what they wanted their wish to be. (Right before Foresta)

Other things:

Love the transformation of Happy

Sound effects of ether gear were on point

A dragon is like a tiny spec compared to Mother...so Dragonfall is like a belt on her...maybe a shoelace

Voice actors were great

Opening and Ending were pretty cool!

OST 🔥🔥🔥

I wonder what the eyecatch will be. We didn’t see it yet.

Hoping they’ll touch up the animation before it premieres on Netflix. First episode looked great but second episode needs a few tweaks.

We got to see Elsie!!

Alright I’ll elaborate more on this later. I need to edit 3 videos after work.

I went to sleep for an hour and had to wake up to walk my dog and get started on work. My body is still functioning but either needs sleep or an energy drink in an hour or two.

Rebecca fidgeted with her phone as she ventured into the shopping center of Blue Garden with Happy and Shiki, to gather up things they required before they set off on another adventure. The Eden's Zero was waiting for them in the space, still apprehensive as it was a pirate ship.

"According to the map, it should be around here." Rebecca frowned as she looked around. They were on the look for The Ginga Ramen Shop, which had recently opened in Blue Garden. Her B-cuber friend, Couch Po, who ran a food channel had recommended it to her, which was famous for unique varieties of ramen noodles. Rebecca's mouth watered at the thought of it, but the reason they were headed to the shop was to shoot a video trying the Hot Ramen challenge at the shop.

If a person could finish the giant bowl of spicy hot ramen within fifteen minutes, the winner would get tickets to the famous planet Stafana, a trending holiday destination in the Sakura Cosmos, well-known for its beaches and resorts. Rebecca was confident that she wouldn't lose in an eating contest, but she wasn't a fan of spicy food. So this time, Shiki offered to be the subject of her video.

She was eager to shoot this video, as it had been a long time since she had been able to post anything on her channel, with all the adventuring they had been up to.

Shiki was extremely excited as well, to help Rebecca and her channel. She was such an amazing girl, she deserved all the love and praise in the universe. He wanted everyone to see how great she was. He wanted to see her become a big B-cuber if that was her passion. He was ready to do everything in his power to keep her happy.

Rebecca looked around again, confirming the landmarks around, "Where is it?" she mutters under her breath.

Shiki takes the phone from her hand, "Let me see that," He ponders over the map, when suddenly their attention is drawn away as a lady screams in horror.

"Kya! A thief!" the woman yells loudly, "Please somebody help! He's stolen my bag!" she points at a man who runs swiftly, while laughing at her and swinging the bag he had stolen from her.

"It's mine now!" he grins widely. He climbs onto a bike and revs up the engine, making a quick escape before anyone can act.

Shiki glares angrily at the said man, "That bastard! Rebecca, Happy, we have to-" he turns to find that she and Happy are missing. His eyes widen when he hears Rebecca bellow at the top of her voice as she grabs a random person's cycle, with Happy on her back and chases down the thief.

Shiki's jaw drops in amazement as he is already losing sight of her. Quickly activating his ether gear, he follows them.

The man relaxes a bit on his ether bike as he puts sufficient distance between himself and the shopping district. He feels a shiver run down his spine when he feels an angry glare fixed at his back. When he turns his head slightly, he jumps like a cat when he seems a woman chasing him; a monster even, with her eyes glowing and her wild blonde hair fluttering in the wind as she pedals furiously towards him in an incredible speed. "HALT YOU DAMN THIEF!" she roars at him as she aims her gun at him.

The man squeaks in fear and he increases the speed of his bike. Landing two bullets on his tire, the wheel flattens out in no time, and the bike skids and lands flat on the ground. She drops the cycle and storms to the thief, yanking him by his collar, "You punk! How dare you steal from an innocent lady!?" she grits her teeth, throwing him her scariest look.

The man cowers and apologizes profusely, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Please don't kill me!"

Rebecca raises her gun to his face, "Don't you dare do this again, you hear me?" she threatens him.

The thief closes his eyes in fear and cries, "Yes ma'am!"

Just then, the woman whose bag was stolen appears with on a bike with a police constable. "That's the man, officer!" she points towards them.

Rebecca loosens her grip on the man as the police officer binds his hand with handcuffs.

"Good work, ma'am." he tips his cap towards Rebecca approvingly. "You have our gratitude."

The second constable that appeared in a police van nods, "We had been receiving a lot of complaints about this menace. Thank-you miss."

The woman takes Rebecca's hands in hers and thanks her repeatedly, "Thank you so much! I'm so incredibly grateful to you!"

The small crowd that had gathered around Rebecca bursts into an applause. She nods with a smile and blushes as the people shower her with praise, some people shaking hands with her or patting her shoulder.

"Great work, girl!"

"She frightened the crap out of that thief! Serves him right!"

"She was such a badass!"

"Thank you for ridding Blue Garden of such criminals!"

"Mama! I want to be like her!"

As the crowd disperses, Rebecca is left with a goofy grin in her face, the euphoria of the event still riding high. Shiki claps her on the back, "Yo, superstar!"

Rebecca beams at him, "Shiki! Where were you? Never mind that, did you see me!?" her smile widens to a grin. "I kicked that guy's ass!"

"Sure did!" Shiki grins at her proudly. She was seriously such an amazing girl. "You were awesome! That guy would never think of stealing twice!"

Rebecca laughs and her guns revert to Happy's form. "Happy! Good work!" she hugs her best friend.

"That was mostly you, Rebecca!" the cat bot smiles at her.

Rebecca claps her hands in realization, "Oh! I should have asked everyone to subscribe to our channel!" she laments with a frustrated sigh.

Happy consoles her eagerly. "It's alright, Rebecca! What matters is that you helped that lady and caught the burglar!"

"Wait- my B-cube! How could I forget? I must have some sick footage from that bike chase!" she fingers her collar and finds her B-cube, that usually hangs around her neck, missing. She gasps in horror, "Where's my B-cube?!"

Shiki places a hand on her shoulder before she can panic further, "Here," he hands her the tiny device. "You dropped it back at the shopping center when you chased the thief."

Rebecca's shoulders slump in dejection at her complete bad luck. She finally did something cool and she couldn't even take a bit of credit for it. Disappointment bubbles in her stomach at having missed such an opportunity.

"Hey! Don't be so down in the dumps!" Shiki exclaims as he pulls up her phone. "I recorded some of your action on this. The resolution may not be as good as-"

"Wait, you were able to take a video of me?" Rebecca asks in disbelief.

Shiki nods, and upon a tap on the screen, her phone projected a footage of her, chasing the thief, along with her shooting action and the crowd gathering around her and praising her.

Rebecca finds tears gathering at the edge of her eyes and her heart soars in excitement and happiness, "Oh my God! Shiki!" she throws her arms around his neck, and he finds himself stumbling backwards as she tackles him into a fierce hug. "Thank you, thank you so much, Shiki!"

Rebecca takes hold of one side of his face and plants a big kiss on cheek. Before Shiki can do anything, she is pulling away, her cheeks stained pink as Shiki can feel his own cheeks heating up and his heart doing weird flips.

Happy giggles softly at them and chirps happily, "Shall we get going, you two?"

"Y-Yeah!" she picks him up and starts walking away as Shiki stands there frozen on the spot, his hand brushing over his cheek.

He really loves that girl.

"Wait for me!" Shiki calls out as he runs behind them with a wide grin.
