do you ever write a line and then take a step back because you don’t know what possessed you to write it?
“who am i that i should get to hold you?” foreshadowing “who am i to think that she would follow me into the cold and dark again?” NOBODY touch me i am not okay
orphydice in that field of flowers. the field that eurydice remembers even when she’s forgotten her own name. that is all
Night Guys
I have things drafted for when I get up. See you guys later.
i enjoy how originally orpheus was this bad boy with a guitar and then anaïs mitchell essentially said “he’s not pathetic enough. the audience doesn’t like him the way they should…..i know exactly what to do” and remade orpheus into a sad wet cat of a man. and that did the trick. we all loved him after that. genius move on her part
eurydice and orpheus are Never Letting Go of each other in a universe where they both make it out of the underworld actually

eurydice is stronger than me bc if the son of a muse told me that the river would give us our wedding bands and the trees would lay the wedding table i’d be on board already. he doesn’t even need to sing the song he’s already captivated me with his golden retriever swag and tendency to see the way the world could be
