RP - The Dragon and the Lizard
@blue-haired-tales Two days. That was how long Nee-Sha the Argonian had staked out the fort. Two days of watching, waiting, planning. She spent the days on her belly, hidden in the undergrowth on a hill overlooking the fort. She could not see into the fortress itself, but even restricted to observing the towers and the bandits keeping watch, she had learned much. She learned that the bandits were a sorry lot, clad in stinking furs with sorry weapons and probably not much skill in using them. She had seen twelve different people over the past two days. Tere lhave been others in the courtyard she hadn’t seen yet, and maybe a few favorites the leader had who were excused from such duties altogether? She could only guess. The watches always changed out at more or less two hours, indicating the leader, whoever they were, had at least some ability. Idly, she wondered who they were. No matter. She’d know soon enough, if all went well.
The twenty-three year old had been in Skyrim a little over a month now. She had been in Morrowind for the past four years, but had found little opportunity for her talents during that time. The Argonian writ ran strong there, and aside from the occasional border skirmish with the Redoran, the land was mostly at peace. But Skyrim was a different story. The border with Morrowind through which information travelled was closed, but she had heard a little about the war from Imperial merchants from Cyrodil. They told of a land at war with itself, of bitter strife between the Nords who wished to leave the Empire and the Imperials who wished to retain them, of a countryside infested by bandits and plagued by robbers and highwaymen, of villages burned and roads rendered almost unpassable. A ruined land. A blighted land. In short – a land of opportunity. So she had left Morrowind, heading west through Cheydinhal along the Blue Road before skirting the Imperial City and heading North through the Heartlands, up to Bruma, and then finally through the Pale Pass into Skyrim.
Her first priority, other than to discover the lay of the land, was to establish herself. She was notorious in her homeland, and had some small notoriety in Morrowind, but she was unknown in Skyrim, and few people would hire an unknown, especially an Argonian. She needed something big, something to make her reputation. And then she had heard that bandits had taken over Fort Neugrad, a former Imperial fortress southeast of Helgen and were using it as a base to devastate the surrounding countryside. Villages were raided, travelers robbed and merchants forced to turn over part of their goods as a “toll.” Whoever took care of those bandits would be doing everyone a big favor, and would certainly be spoken of. Nee-Sha scented opportunity.
So there she lay, on that hill overlooking the fort, awaiting the dusk. She had decided to infiltrate the fortress rather than openly attacking it. From her vantage point she could easily have picked off the bandits she saw on watch – there were few people on all of Tamriel that could equal her skill with a bow – but she’d get no further than that. At the first sign of trouble the remaining bandits would bar the entrances and wait for her to leave, and she would have to leave because the bandits were in a fortress, she was outside of it, and one person could not maintain a siege by themselves. So she would do it the hard way, sneaking into the fortress before she struck. She was under no illusions about how dangerous this was. She did not know how many people were inside the fortress, its layout or its interior defenses. The only things she had were her skills and the element of surprise. It would have to be enough.
Nearly time now. She checked her gear as the sun slipped below the horizon, making sure everything was ready and in place. She took a deep breath, then began her slow descent down towards the fortress.
Evelynn was silently walking down one of the streets in the more "risque" districts of the city, her amber eyes gazing ahead at the many casinos, nightclubs and bars, that made up most of the establishments in this part of the city. It had already gotten very late, the sun having long since set and only the many bright lights of the buildings and streets being the sign of the quite active nightlife, that this city offered to anyone brave or drunk enough to linger around in these parts.
The shadow walker had disguised herself in her human form, because surely, her true form would have drawn far too much unwanted attention. Though she still found herself gaining a few stares of rather questionable figures, either simple admirers or those, who lurked in the more unkempt areas like the alleys. Evelynn did pay them no mind though..because she was focused on something different tonight..
She had hungered for blood for a while..but what she truly longed for even more..was company and love. She'd been living quite the isolated existence, not lest because of what she was. Her true form, while beautiful, was still not entirely human and often struck fear into the hearts of those, whom caught a glimpse of it.
Eventually, Evelynn decided to visit one of the more sophisticated bars around this part. She sought out a quiet little table near the bar counter, looking around silently, just wanting to see, if something interesting would unfold. And certainly, she wasn't disappointed, as soon her glance fell upon the bartender.. Evelynn's eyes immediately became glued onto the female, who was breathtakingly beautiful. She was young, her skin fair and pristine..and her hair of a lovely cobalt clue, short and styles into a lovely side bob. Her eyes were of a vibrant, gorgeous green, which put even the most brilliant emeralds to shame.
The vampire smiled knowingly..she had found the one, whom she would pursue tonight..and hopefully get to spend more..than just one night together with.

At least Pari was someone he never minded being around. Who knew, maybe she could make him feel better. But she would probably be in for quite a surprise when he appeared in the middle of his apartment. At least he could get a good look at that for once.
"You have a clear mistrust of people. Perhaps understandably so.. Perhaps in matters of the heart?"
Edgar flinched slightly. Just how much did she know abouthim? “Why shouldn’t I be? No woman has ever loved me for me,” he went on, shrugging his shoulders, “Onlyfor what I own…or represent.” The shorterma then narrowed his eyes. “What should it matter to you anyway? Why are you bringingthis up?”

Klaus picked up the file folder and quickly glanced through it. 31 year old female, needing possible stitches. Klaus made his way to the small exam room his patient was waiting in and gently knocked on the door before entering.
“I’m Dr. Hartmann, I understand you have a few cuts that need to be looked at.” From his accent it was apparent he wasn’t from England. Klaus left his work behind in Luxembourg when a job in England made itself known -- why not work at travel at the same time?
Klaus slipped on a pair of latex gloves and regarded his patent. She had blue hair. Very blue hair. It wasn’t unusual to see patients with coloured hair, although he wasn’t sure why anyone would want to change their hair colour.

Pari wasn’t sure on what to expect. Given that she had absolutely no relatives left of her own and had considered Russell to be a sort of family, she was a little nervous to meet Gracie.
However, it didn’t stop Pari grasping her hand in a warm and welcoming shake.
“I dread to think what he’s said, but it’s very nice to meet you. It really is..!”
She was positively beaming..
Gracie looked just as happy to meet Pari as well. She had a large smile on her face as she shook Pari’s hand.
“Oh come on. He’s not had anything bad to say about you, unless you dread him saying he’s like a sister to you, and one of the best friends he’s ever had,” she said, smiling, “Honestly, I wanted to meet you as soon as he told me about you. You’ve got a good vibe about you, that I can tell.“
She nodded.
“It’s really awesome to meet you too. It’s so good to put a face to the name,” she replied, “And I just want to thank you for being in Russell’s life. He needs people like you.”
Russell cheeks turned a little bit pink then.

Sitting in a dim booth at the far corner of the bar facing the rest of the room Claude loomed like a lounging shadow. Despite the number of drinks he had been consuming over the course of the evening, he still managed to maintain some sense of a coiled viper lurking in wait. That illusion only shattered by the more sluggish movements he gave when he finished the last of his scotch.
The ice clinking against the glass being easily heard over the faint music playing in the empty bar. The rest of the patrons having left for the night at least over an hour ago, but that didn’t stop this profession from carrying on. Claude looked like he was having a rough evening with the way his head lulled back with a tired hand rubbing the space between his eyes. Clearly having nowhere better to be but drowning himself into an early grave.
