emerald, or emme for short, then jaide evergreen as you know! their heights tend to be the same for all of my inserts unless said other wise and all of them are 5'2-3 :3 now their birthdays - usually i just assume all of their birthdays to be the same as mine - february 16. but if you REALLY wanna know when they were made exactly, emme was made on november 19, 2022 (WHAT THE HELL) and jaide was made on february 9, 2023... emme is older by 3 months LMFAOOOO
5. does your self insert have any special powers or abilities?
ummm emme can swim to the seafoam islands no life tubes or shit 🙄🙄🙄 i thought you knew that /JJJ JOKES ASIDE i think emme's a pretty brave girl, but she's only brave because she doesn't recognize danger even if she's supposed to by instinct. that's probably why she didn't fear shinto in the first place! i totally see emme to be like ed from ed edd n eddy, she's just a chunk of brick that can't be swayed tbh unless it was glitchy because girlie likes him a bit too much PFPFPTT
jaide is a natural when it come to catching, i would also say she's really smart in reading pokemon psychological behavior (as opposed to jaide STONE. she reads emotions) (jaide studied for it. she was in school for some time unlike red and blue who just jumped straight into battling)
9. who are your self insert’s closest friends?
IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING BUT EMME IS OBVIOUSLY CLOSE WITH THE CARTRIDGE GANG 💥💥 but if we gotta talk about the more canon side, grey is definitely her closest friend - mostly because grey kinda decided to follow her since she was brave enough to handle shinto by herself. i dont think emme has much friends?? (ouch) because she's a bit ... out there and i'd imagine a lot of people are kinda terrified of her but if you actually bother to befriend her she'd like you a whole lot! very compassionate even!
aside from red, blue and leaf (semi canon), jaide interacts with many professors across the region so she'd definitely be close with professor kukui and sonia! many of the professors are a bit too mature for her youthful personality but the aforementioned are totally flexible with anyone 💥 lyra (and kris?) too, thanks to ethan! i can totally see jaide having the most random ass connections just for a comedic bit where someone's like "jaide they know you???" (is probably someone high ranking) and she just winks eheeee yuh huh

EMME IS A RANGER. I'VE CONFIRMED IT, YES. I ONLY REALIZED RECENTLY THAT RANGERS ARE THE PERFECT DESCRIPTION FOR HER. they're almost like a police equivalent and remember how i'd say she's the type to help look for missing 'mons? yuh. we will expand on the ranger concept from here on out now!!!!
i've always imagined jaide if she was in the games - she acted like your rival except she's your sister and she follows ethan around to tip him and give him necessary things (and maybe is the one to deliver whatever their mom buys using ethan's money PFPFPTT) and you'd have those single battles with her and she would continuously grow to be more proud of ethan, and does meet him moments before the elite 4 heheh maybe there's a sequence where they bond at the national park wiwiwiw yk sibling things sibling things... ate jaide on the way.... <333

she caught them all from her encounters as a trainer but for me personally i like to think jaide's actual token pet is to.gepi (she affectionately nicknamed pipino) she only had him recently from an interesting incident :3c she doesn't want to let him battle because she babies him a bit too much 🥺🥺💚

holy shit. its the funniest thing istg.
so blue, blue was the guy who managed to bring everyone together after being away from each other for too long. all he wanted was to be with his best buds and thats all. however him slowly getting the hints that red and jaide MMMIIIGHT BE INTO EACH OTHER IS A BIG WHAT THE HELL MOMENT FOR HIM bro wanted reunite with his childhood best friends but childhood best friends are now having MATCHING BRACELETS WHAT ABOUT ME GUYS 🥲🥲🥲 AKDLFKFJS part of him thought this was complete bs because red willingly put himself in mt. silver for years and suddenly he's gonna get a girlfriend before him?!?!?? what!!!!! dude said i pulled a bad bitch by being au- /JJJ
but despite the initial shock i think part of blue is really proud of red because blue knows how socially awkward he is and he's not the best with people - so seeing him at least be with someone he can fully trust and be in love with is certainly a development that he hopes nothing but the best for. i think blue would try his best to help red out too! blue is quite fashionable, can totally see him helping red find a nice outfit for their casual stroll date :D
as for jaide, i think jaide would just constantly send or tell stuff to blue about how cute red is 😭 shes not immune to being so gushy abt her big bf 💔💔 will probably send pics of red sleeping on her lap and shes fuckign crying on pokemessenger or whatever the hell JALSKSJDJJSKA over all blue says yes i approve ☝️
ethan (jaides little brother) would be overjoyed! maybe a little shocked as well because wait a minute 💀 didn't i battle this guy in a seemingly cold place before 💀💀 JAJDJFHSJJD
methinks professor oa.k (who had been with the trio since they were little) is proud. he has quite literally watched these kids grow since they were preteens and seeing where they are today is just infinitely outstanding to him! they're both very smart and strong in their own fields (she's a pro catcher and he's the living legend) and they're still a young couple. lots of potential in those two for sure!
it was at that point where jaide, red and blue all reunited in alola and they're getting accustomed to each other again (mostly red to both of them since jaide and blue had been consistently catching up with each other already). redjaide is still in the platonic stages, with red slowly relieving his puppy crush on her years ago (but of course he's not gonna fuckin say anything yet LMAOOO).
anyways - one day in alola, blue just so happen to be mostly out of the scene when red and jaide, who were drinking together in the small cafe inside the pokecenter - noticed a lost egg covered in a blanket, left in a lounge couch alone.
worried, jaide would try to look if the egg had an owner of its own but nobody in the center seemed to have noticed. she insists on keeping the egg to find the owner before it hatches - and she lets red tag along with her to find the owner.
now red usually isn't one to ask others but he would try to help jaide ask people if they seen or had recently lost an egg by simply tapping on their shoulder and quietly asking if they know anything about this missing baby. though jaide was a lot more enthusiastic about it, making quick chit chat and asking them about it. their approaches were different, but they got the job done.
sadly they struggled to really find the owner, so she'd bring the egg at her hotel and talk to blue and red on what they'd do with... the thang.... she filled blue in and explained what happened. blue insists to just keep looking because the fact it was wrapped in a blanket meant that someone was trying to watch over it. so jaide continued to try to ask around, but not beyond the island at least.
eventually they do find the owner, it belonged to a little girl who wanted to keep an egg to grow up with her but she forgotten to pick up her egg after leaving the pokecenter for whatever reason. jaide would happily give it to her, until the egg would hatch on the spot - it was a togepi.
the togepi, held in jaide's hands - would immediately assume that jaide was its parental figure and quickly become attached to her - and well, togepi had already developed a bond/comfort since jaide had been actively carrying the egg for quite some time.
the pokedex also mentions that the first thing it sees and assumes when it hatches is the parent (or maternal figure in this case)
the togepi would lovingly lunge at jaide's chest, yearning for her familiar warmth. this wasn't supposed to happen! she would frantically swears that it's not her pokemon, but togepi clung on to her like a child to its mom. red would be surprised at this revelation, mostly because he himself wasn't too well-versed in hatching baby pokemon since he's been with the same team as kid. somehow, togepi would also recognize red, maybe not all too well like jaide, but it has felt his warmth a few times to have it ingrained in its mind! it would chirp happily at red, but he wouldn't understand what that meant.
the little girl can't help but notice... a nice connection between the three. she giggles and tells jaide that she can keep the pokemon. she'd argue that she's still not ready yet, and one example of her not being ready was her neglecting the egg in public. I mean, a child raising a baby is no easy task as well, so maybe these two were a better fit. they were trainers after all...
jaide felt a little guilty, but she can't help but admit the way togepi stares at her keeps drawing her in. she promises to take good care of togepi and they depart from there. jaide would also gift the girl an ultra ball just to show her thanks, and maybe someday the little girl can catch her own pokemon as well.
with that exchange, both parties depart.
blue, who had been watching this all at the back would jokingly congratulate jaide for being a mom, to which she elbows him, giggling. he would ask about what she'd name togepi. she would awkwardly confess that she had been coming up with silly names while they were on that little mission.
"pipino sounds cute. i'm keeping that."
blue would give a weird glare by how quickly she came up with a name but then again - that's jaide for him. same girl as ever to him.
togepi, even in jaide's arms would sometimes glance at red and chirp with an adorable wave, and he'd ... awkwardly tip his hat and wave at it too.
not only would her alola trip be fruitful with alolan pokemon data, but she found herself a new friend to bring along with her.
okay my biggest regret for this letter is that I don't actually have enough platonics to fit in here, like really major platonics because they all went to the familials AHDHFHSJDJJS but hey as long as i have someone, i'm more than willing to talk about them 💚
im gonna throw a little curveball here and start off with hero! before i got into poke.mon wholely, i was in a very deep o.mori mood. i loved the game so much, i played it blind and found myself to really adore hero. words cannot describe how happy i feel when i see him. he's a nice mix of comfort character and platonic f/o to me. i think he's the first guy that made me really feel so attached to him and talk about him like he was my best friend - i was literally branded as the hero friend in my circle just because of it 😭 as i played the game, i couldn't help but feel so connected to him. he's so mature, he's a great big brother, hilariously the charming type and he's not big headed. he's in fact a little self insecure... and part of me really just understood him well there. my sympathy and care for him grew all the more when i see him in the current timeline, especially what he had to go through for mari and kel. i remember being so happy when i saw overworld hero debut for the first time, heck i'm pretty sure i almost teared up in joy. hero is most definitely the highlight of my o.mori journey, his character just so happened to connect to so many favorite little topics i liked (him with sharks? cooking? love interest in mari?) so many things to love about him! its safe to say that hero is truly the first platonic i ever cared so deeply for. i'm a little sad that I don't have that spark at the moment to go back to him due to fandom jumps but just know that i'm absolutely down to talk about hero anytime
anndddd of course, as many of you all expected... it's blue! if not appleshipping, then it's the silly caramelapple goofies! blue was not gonna escape my grip if i were to romantic f/o red. like come on, this guy is the second closest to being associated with red. but that aside - i really like sun and moon blue more! i'm not exactly too fond of his younger alternative but for the character development i 100 respect him. sun and moon blue however is just the perfect mixture of - fun, mature and cocky. he's a bit of a flashy guy but at least he knows how to hold his ground. blue is just cool. he's definitely a lot more sociable than red but that's what makes the dynamic even funner! with jaide inserted in the group he becomes the token responsible adult and i think its funny 💚

ok so like!! this maroon berry and clear salt!! (jaide stone is on the far left) if im being honest... reading poke.spe is not the same to me anymore because i always have the pok.espe parents in my brain no matter what. it can be over the littlest, trivial things yet my brain will go "ooh, what would maroon/clear do in here" like genuinely a lot of our fanon ideas are just real to me at this point. red has a brother?? fuck yeah dude. crystal's mom is meh but her divorced husband is better?? yeah. yeah REAL. the best part about having clear and maroon close to me is that i actually tend to imagine what would jaide be doing with them together, i mean clear has a little connection to d.evon corp and that's already a great bridge to ponder over how jaide and clear interacts. we may have not written anything TOO canon yet but the ideas are there. and then there's maroon with red meeting gold. there's a perfect bridge to make jaide at least interact with them. i know we're just floating on the bridge of ideas and we didn't actually canonize as much with the parents together but it's just so fun to think about, y'know?? maroon and clear are just written so amazingly well to me and well we're here to deliver therapy to our kids 🤧🤧 i promise you there's a lot of times where i wanted to cook smth that unites all 3 of them together but I just didn't have the time 😭 btw maroon is definitely the person i'd run to for comfort because she wouldn't judge no matter what and would find a way to comfort and of course give a nice nice delicious meal. clear is probably a little more difficult to befriend but if i imagine if you at least get past his cold ice exterior he's a very sweet man (and maroon can vouch for that ☝️☝️)
