sharing differences in how i write keith and lance because why not??
keith
- staccato sentences, thoughts divided sharply and colliding. lots of periods!
- often does not recognize or understand emotions coming at him. less “lance looked scared” and more “lance had wide eyes and looked pale”
- self doubt manifests as questions.
- action, THEN retrospection
lance:
- run-on sentences, connecting ideas, flowy inner monologue
- overreactions and overanalysis! equally unreliable as keith, but tends to explain what he sees wayyyy beyond what is actually occurring
- self doubt manifests as fact. “he’s not worthy/he’s not ready/others are better.”
- thinking, then acting, unless in period of high emotion
